Not a proper dev log this week as the 3 of us are still knee-deep in a necessary clean-up, bug fixing, and tweaking fortnight on all the content we’ve produced over the past 6 months. This won’t lead to many exciting developments straight away, but it will, metaphorically speaking, keep the base of the tower strong as we add more and more weight to the top of it.
In the meantime, here’s the first look at some in-game footage. It’s really just a rough and ready test of the avatar mode that lets you control and do things with the leader of the town, in the manner of a third-person game. There are bugs and it’s more an experiment at putting together game footage than anything, but I hope you find it interesting.
Do let me know what you think in the comments.
I should be back in a week or so when hopefully another big, special gameplay feature will have gone in and I'll have the regular updates at long last, assuming nothing explodes in the meanwhile.
That footage looks pretty cool.
Looks like everything Is going in the right direction. I know it's very early but quick question will the menu/hud/inventory change?
and just for some extra two cents of mine.....the scavenging/loot times could be cut back some IMO. But I love what you all have going TRACKED
Thanks for the track. :-)
The appearance of the UI is definitely placeholder for now (such as the big white meaningless block in the bottom left!) though the way it functions may stay the same.
Salvaging times are definitely on the list of stuff to balance nearer the end of the process, yep.
Looking forward to future updates :)
