The lead designer of Ascendant elaborates on the game's Aspect and Combat systems and what makes those features unique to the roguelike -brawler.

Ascendant's lead designer, Nick Farah, gives a better idea of how Aspects and Combat are going to work in the video below. Aspects are part of a socket system which enhances the player in this 2.5D roguelike-brawler. Socketing them into your weapon, spell, or armor yields different results and bonuses to the player.
