The Kickstarter for Apocalypse Not is finally up and running. We'll be taking donations until September 18th, and hope to raise at least $10,000. If you enjoy the game so far, you can really make a difference in it's development by donating to make it even better. To sweeten the deal, anyone donating at least $20 will effectively be pre-ordering the game, and guaranteeing their copy at release. Anyone who donates $35 or more will also have access to the Beta test, which will begin in early October.
If you're wondering what the money will go to, currently I'm using the free version of Unity3d to develop. The Pro version gives me more access to the engine, which makes for more interesting game modes such as multiplayer. It will also allow me to put more detail into the game without sacrificing overall stability and rendering speed. Any excess money will be placed into setting up a distribution system and outsourcing artwork for faster and better looking development.
Whether or not you wish to donate, I would also like to personally thank everyone who has offered their support and encouragement so far on this project. It's your comments and kind words that kept me pushing onward. In case you joined the game late here is a quick reminder of what the game was and what it has become.
The contrast between 2 months ago and now is quite stark to say the least.
