Omicron is a MMOG set in the near future. A future where the world revolves around its vast infrastructure of computers. Players will have full freedom in this world. They can set up websites, buy in game servers (or even steal them), hack into computers or just traverse the huge virtual world.
The game will use an in-game programming language, allowing the player to design their own programs and use them in the game; or sell them on the black market. The programming language will be relatively close to Lua syntax, the program can be also edited in a "Building Blocks editor", more on that another time.
Player VS Player (Or PVP) will be a large component of the game, players will be able to unleash their full arsenal of programmed tools on each other. Players will be able to buy their own in-game domain names. Link the webpage to a server, and then write up webpages in HTML to be viewed by the rest of the world.
If you are still struggling to comprehend this game. Check out the Introversion game, Uplink. It is very simliar. Now, it seems to me that most mods show pictures with their news posts, a game like this dosent have anything graphical to show off, and if i were to give a shot of the GUI. It would spoil alot of secrets. So for now, here is an image of our humble log in screen.
