Post news Report RSS Announcing Multiplayer Support

On 20th of September 2018 we are releasing our first multiplayer build.

Posted by on

From this date you will find a version of The Fertile Crescent with multiplayer support in the Files section here on IndieDB.

To begin with you will be able to create or join 1v1 games.

That's not the only improvement being added though!

Original Music And Sound

We are adding our own music track to the game. In addition, we have started adding sound effects. This makes us very excited. Let us know what you think!

Minimap

Have you ever played a decent RTS game with no mini map? Neither have we!

This was always on the road map, but it was especially important to implement for multiplayer.

New Unit: Scout

To balance early-game, instead of starting with a Slinger, your Tribe now starts with a Scout.

You can train more Scouts at the Tribe Center.

General Improvements

Other than that, we have implemented lots of small and subtle improvements to unit behaviour, resource harvesting, balance, menus, and more. Plus bug fixes!

Examples are confining mouse cursor to game screen when multiple screens are used, units detecting enemy units quicker, small map size being increased from 70x70 to 80x80 tiles and letting you press ESCAPE to open pause menu.
