v2.9.1b is out!
I've added Humoid and Neander "cities", created just one "interaction" key, fixed some textures & tweaked some stuff. You may notice odd biome behavior for terrain already generated due to the new biomes (and I also had to shift biome "centers" so you could start in a friendly Humoid city).

Complete changes:
- Humoid and Neander cities/complexes now implemented!
- You will now start right above (and wake up in) a friendly Humoid city/complex
- Combined keys into one "interaction" key to talk with leaders, merchants & toggle doors
- Many updated textures: trees, dirt, buildings, grass, storage etc.
- Friendly characters should no longer attack each other when fighting in a group
- Reduced the number of free, random items found in buildings
- The server name you are trying to connect to is now trimmed of extra spaces
- Increased the demo time limit a bit
- Mining drill now destroys all soft terrain in addition to rocks
- Corrupted items with no graphics will no longer cause a crash, but an "error" item instead
- Changes to how items store data, which should help multiplayer network performance
- Followers don't cause other characters to auto-follow you anymore
- Followers don't disappear after death now

I hope to get started on the mini-fighters and fix a few bugs for the next release. Biggest bugs I want to fix are the collision boxes on the characters vs terrain & performance on slower graphics cards (Intel HD cards).
Those cities sure change the gameplay alot, in a positive way of course! I'll need to get used to the new key though. Keep up the good work! *Happy*
love the update....found a bit of a problem tho. i died and woke up in a humoid building with all locked doors
Yeah, this is a known problem.. for now, you can use /goto in the console to get out!
In the game's final state, will that command be removed?
I don't think so, since it is so useful for meeting up with players in multiplayer games. I have it more or less balanced because it requires full health, you cannot teleport to places of higher level, it doesn't teleport you to an exact location, and it costs 50% health to use.
Does the update happen automatically if i bought through indie royale? or do i just re-install?
You will have to re-download and re-install, or the Desura client can push the update to you!
I can't seem to change my resolution or make it full screen. It is stuck at the smallest settings. Any tips?
Fixed, for anyone wondering - I had to untick the advanced graphics option.

I found a little bug in the game, when you have completed the game (Killed the Deamon King) then it tells me to hit "Esc" to return to the menu, there is just one slight problem, the key is already assigned to ask the user "Are you sure you want to quit?, Hit Esc to return or F2 to quit".
But other than that; It was an amazing game! and I can't wait to see more updates in the future.
Nevermind, I forgot I had to quit the game to see the main-menu :-)
Hello Phroot I have only recently heard of this game and bought it today. I have played it for about 10 minutes and it seems promising. Took me a while to get the graphics sorted to my computer but when I got it sorted the graphics became sweet as a nut however I am experiancing problems with my characters movement speed he walks unbearably slowly. Is this some sort of buy or is my computer lagging out? I can play towns fine and minecraft is pretty lag free even modded
Wait for the next update coming very soon. Phr00t is working on optimization to help specifically with this.
you might be over-weight, try just randomly walking with over-capacity or punching/slicing stuff to get your strength level up to carry more :)

Maybe if A.) Minecraft was an original concept (See: infiniminer) and B.) Notch wasn't as lazy as hell, your comment would have validity.
This game has far more advanced voxel handling, hitscan, animations, code optimization... And it has a story. Minecraft blows compared to this game.
