Stuff I learned in UDK

zekio309 Blog

Hello Comrades,
Since I have been absent for quite some time again I am going to do my best to add a few posts updating my recent activity in art, models, and knowledge in my field.
This post will be about the stuff I had learned in UDK by following tutorials I found amongst the internet. I have learned to dabble amongst the particle system and cloth modifier on a skeletal mesh.

If you have any questions about how I have done things you can email me personally or post a comment. the one thing I will mention is I had trouble getting the collision to work on the flag itself so any feedback on that would be greatly appreciated.
comments and critiques are greatly appreciated as always. Enjoi.

Old Game Proposal

zekio309 Blog

Howdy Yall,

I decided to share a link to an old project I proposed for a class in Spring of 2011. It was a side-scroller beat em up that took place across different worlds and unlockable characters. On my blog you can see the artwork I had done for it(back before I got my lovely wacom tablet) and the game proposal document. all in all the class was fun and I feel like I could have done more with it but of course other classes took precedence and now its in the archives.

If anybody wants to develop it further just hit me up with the details and I could help out with it.

That is all for now Modders. keep doing what you do best!

A little Inspiration

zekio309 Blog

Hello All,

This post is about one of the many things ive come across in my time as a college student. While I was taking a leadership workshop they gave us a story called "The Starfish". I'm not sure why I found it so uplifting but I wanted you all see what it is. Sadly I do not know the original author and i personally have no affiliation with the story(for all you government officials) =P.

The Starfish

A young boy and his father were walking along a beach after a bad storm, and hundreds of starfish, as well as seaweed and seashells, were lying along the coast.

The boy, running ahead of his father, started picking up the starfish and began throwing them with all his might back into the water.

The father, realizing the futility of his young son's attempt, said to the boy, "Son, there are entirely too many starfish for you to throw back into the water. you can save a few of them, but there is no hope for the rest... Why are you doing this?"

The young boy replied, "I know there are a lot of them, dad, and I'll never be able to save them all. But at least I am saving the ones that i can... And to them, I matter."

I hope you enjoyed the story.

Cordially Yours,

Sir Franklin the Chivalrous
