Thanks! We're looking forward to releasing too.
The railing will most likely be replaced. The whole place was still work in progress (no pun intended) when the video was shot. I was also thinking about leaving something out of the solution, but the complexity of the puzzle means it could be hard to understand what is going on if you don't see it as whole. Don't worry though, we have so many interesting puzzles there that knowing one of them won't hurt that much. There's also an alternative way to complete this one, too.
This one was inspired by Tokyo's Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel. En.wikipedia.org
Thanks!
We will add some kind of some system for remembering the codes etc. The player will be able to take the notes with him most likely.
The minitrain is still work in progress, but it atlready automatically stops if the player hasn't stood on it for a while.
The camera sound effect will be toggle-able.
Maybe, but it would be a lot of work.
The doors and the construction lights among other things.
Well sadly we have no means to do that by ourselves, but in case the community wants to help us, we will surely add the translation to the game.
We are aiming to release at the start of summer 2015.
There might actually be something like that somewhere during the game.
Well we're not a mod anymore, but a full commercial game. And progress is probably 60-70 %, but don't go making any assumptions from this figure.
The lighting is being worked on. The black areas are mostly due to too dim ambient lighting and shadow settings. Vertex lighting causes problems indeed, but we will look into it if we can get it fixed somehow.
Don't worry, we have a BIG update coming before the end of the year.
Alien Swarm branch of Source currently, hopefully we get the latest edition if we're greenlit.
This an actual ingame screenshot, whith no post-processing applied.
The holding animation is there to tell the player that a button can be pressed. It's also there to help the player to press the right button, as it doubles as a crosshair.
Some puzzles might include frustration, but so does Portal series in several occasions and yet they're fantastic games.
All the animations are still work in progress. We will also include animations for door opening and such to increase the immersion.
The fluorescent lights are in fact on, I just forgot the light glow sprites out of this version.
Hands are temporary, the character models are being currently worked on and hopefully we are able to show the new hands soon. I also agree about the flashlight, the light cone will be tightened a bit.
Several years. Anyway it was so fast because I only made a low poly and didn't unwrap the the texture other than the default unwrap.
Thanks.
Also don't worry about it taking time off the development since it only took some 40 minutes to make :D
