Sorry about the download speed - we will take a look at torrenting the game if we can get a connection that would make it worthwhile...

As for your question, [stranded] is made with C++ using OpenGL and OpenAL (and a handful of other libraries which are C or C++), and also DirectX XInput for Xbox 360 controller support on Windows.

We are playing around with possible fixes for this, but only 1 of our test PCs exhibit this behaviour so testing the attempted fixes will take longer than I would like (I personally don't have access to it). We will be sure to let everyone know if and when a fix is sorted.

Sorry to hear you are having issues launching the game.

Is it possible to have a look at the console window (appears behind the main window on launch) when this happens to see if there is any output there?

I assume when it crashes there should be a window alerting you to the fact that closes the game when you respond - if this is the case, while that is up, check the console before getting it to close and let us know what it says (if anything) so we can help.

Haha we do have some plans for some extra gameplay (various multiplayer ideas we are deciding on) and we are keen to enhance the graphics for people with the hardware to handle it. Keep an eye for updates as we get things happening!

Apologies for the download location - we had no idea how the speed would be and so haven't looked into alternate mirrors.

Seeing as this is the beta, we will leave it as is for now, but we have definitely taken this into account for when we release our full v1.0 (which is only a couple days away).

Thanks very much for the kind words and feedback - it is greaty appreciated.

With the mouse/cursor, we deliberately have kept it close to the player because of the distance to change from one direction to the opposite- if we allowed it to go all the way to the edge this could be a problem. That said we are open to more thoughts on this and could maybe have an option to have it either way?

We would be interested to hear what you think about this (and others as well).

Also with the sprint, perhaps giving the player customisable keys would be a plus? Since everyone has their preference ;)

Would you care to share the problem you are having? Where are you having issues and what are they? What are your specs (hardware and OS version)?

We are very interested in any problems that arise so that we can fix them and give a good experience for as many players as possible :)

Haha on the surface it does appear to have that visual feel ;)
Rest assured the gameplay is quite different as is the story (once it begins to develop)
