I think the wall is fine since that is the half-life standard. I would remove the fingers to keep the mod's old school feeling, nice helmet though.

I think changing the color to a less dense black or brown would do the trick, looks much better than the env_smokestack, but you can modify env_smokestack to use info_particle_system's sprites, I've done it myself already, looks kinda the same thing, but instead you can edit stuff directly in hammer.

Are you 12?, "BOHOO I RECEIVE CRITICS FROM WHO CAN'T DO ANY BETTER". Just to clarify kiddo, I wasn't talking about the map, that is not your work. I was talking about the particle effect, that is your work and it is bad quality, take the critics seriously and don't blame stuff because of your laziness.

And so you'll keep blaming your sucky video card for the bad quality of your work?.

If you're not willing to do your own particles, why don't you use the stock EP2 ones which is much better than using smokestack?.

If you have Opposing Force you can copy/paste the essential mod files in the opposing force/gearbox folder.

How I wasn't aware of this mod before?, this is awesome masterpiece mod, one of the most beautiful mapping i've ever seen for half life and best usage of HL/TFC/Op4 stock textures.

My only complain is the bad packing, an ammount of unecessary files was included in the mod's .rar file, these files also prevent people from playing your mod.

I managed to play copying the following folders and files to Op4's gearbox directoty:

folders: maps, models, sprites, sounds.
files: titles.txt and all the .wad files.
