I will make a small digression with an explanation. For a very, very long time I have wanted to make a kind of perfect Red Alert, even if it is not tightly tied to C&C. Just something similar thematically and stylistically, that's enough for me. At first it was Red Alter. But I really, really disliked the limitations of the SDK and the engine.

When I was still very young and optimistic, I tried with a swoop and small forces to develop the Red March - what Red Alter transformed into, sawing off all copyright details and links with C&C. But it also moved very slowly and, in general, I was stuck and I just didn't have enough experience for such an ambitious mod or even a standalone game.

Now, many years later, I am already a fairly experienced developer, I have released one major game and now I know how complex such projects are and how develop them. Also how expensive they are, how risky for the publisher, and that people with competence in this genre have almost disappeared in the industry.

I still don't let go of my dream and hope to come back to this wonderful community and revive Red Alter or Red March with something new on hands, but this is clearly not going to happen this year. The maximum that we have released in the last updates is our very old stuff, made a lot of years ago. But this is very far from what we wanted to do in the end. In fact, we need to rebuild the team, but we simply do not have the energy and time for that now. In addition, modders in the community have greatly decreased in number and these are people with their own projects. C&C modding desperately lacks any hands to finish projects that are already close to completion. But let's see what news will be at the end of this year.

As I know, KW modding is very limited, but some little mods are possible. But we can't create anything close to mods, that was developed or released 6 years ago.

We did not receive a single subscriber after the publication of the link to it. This shows that, apparently, people are not very interested in this project, even at the expense of old updates and content. Perhaps it was better to do the updates on the Patreon page. Over the past few months, I received only a small donate from my friend and we were able to request one concept art. Unfortunately, I'm not a beautiful top cosplayer :)

To get at least some money from Patreon - you need to have good advertising and thousands, dozens of fans. This service needs to attract people from outside.

Yandere game dev just got a great hype and advertising through boards like 4chan and letsplayers, in addition it's a popular theme among anime auditory. With our horribly slow progress and the lack of a playable build, I do not think this way is realistic for us.

I'll start filling Patreon this month, but I do not know if my enthusiasm will last long.

Personally, I'm currently working on a completely different game, which will soon be announced. I tried to draw attention to setting of this game, made often updates on Patreon, but... Almost nobody needs it. No one needs it.

Patreon and Kickstarter are very overrated and in fact require large investments or mass free advertising at the start, like any business.

Impossible. KW is not moddable and does not support any mod. Theoretically, something can be done, but this is kind of hack and extremely complex programming, also illegal hacking game resources. Simply because KW Mod SDK was not released (Mod SDK for TW exists, but is not compatible with KW).

How you launch this mod? It is better to use Game Browser option in official launcher.

The development is halted, in the absence of an investor. At this moment, RM existed only as setting.
Personally, I am engaged in other projects, one of which attracted the investor's interest. If there is success, then in a few years it will create the conditions for continuing work on RM.

I already have around 100 GBs of various reference materials, such as concepts, photos and other visual files. And, ofc, I supplied with these references concept artists with whom I work. I do not need extra inspiration :)

We are alive, but have some problems :) I.e. all of us want to eat and pay bills. As soon as I can find the financing for development - we will continue.
The plan for this year - start Patreon, but only after good preparation.
