INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - (Old version of Xmod)

Xmod Installer perform a clean and easy install/uninstall.

1- Apply the Official Red Faction patch 1.20
2- Launch "Xmod_Installer_version.exe"

You are ready to play Xmod on anti-cheater server.

MULTI-CORE COMPATIBILITY

Installer used also the old Anti-Cheat "Lazyban" - (no more compatible with ~modern PC)

To create an Xmod Shortcut with your compatible RF.exe:

1- Right-Click on RF.exe in "Red Faction Folder"
2- Send To -> Desktop (Create shortcut)
3- Right-Click/Properties on your new "RF.exe" Desktop shortcut
4- Locate -> Target eg: "C:\Games\Red Faction\RF.exe"
5- Add at the end: -mod xmod (starting with a space)

eg: "C:\Games\Red Faction\RF.exe" -mod xmod

To change the Xmod Icon:

1- in Properties -> Change icon... -> Browse...
2- Locate "Red Faction folder"
3- Open "Xmod_Icon.ico" and confirm all windows

*Various alternative launcher can be used to launch mod

ANTI-VIRUS - DETECTION

If happen, is probably because is not a known file and the inclusion of the unofficial Anti-Cheat "LazyBan". I released only an Installer in that time, because I wanted to prevent cheating in-game.

This playlist include some minor modifications, RF2 & Xmod Theme music with smooth transitions.

*I highly recommend to play Xmod-Multi with In-Game Music ON to feel a nice RF vibe at beginning of each match, every tracks carefully chosen to fit levels & homage RF one notch more.
