Actually Shogun 2 is the friendliest modern Total War game to campaign map modding out of all (since Empire that is). So it is very likely.

Nope. I will work hard to avoid any DLC requirements. I have already re-made a lot of german ww1 stuff that was already added with Talvisota just for the sake of the mod being dlc-free.

The mod is far from done. So it will take a long time for any release to take place.

Nor the mod is too great in it's current state :) As I've said I can't appreciate what you have done as much as I can because it is just overwhelming, I have just uploaded the files and things are already moving. This is a beautiful present during those times. Thank you again and I hope I won't dissapoint you and the community with what I want to make out of this great old mod, something that I think will be even grander, if work will keep on.

Technically at least it isn't new. It is the latest state of the moment at the moment it died, the most obvious new thing is that it has a Russian unit, other changes are concerning the code, nerfed cavalry a bit. But the mods has no big changes since 2017. Working on the mod ? This is what I plan to do. Making updates even a new version is planned and I hope this will be achieved. Of course I need some support and mostly simply the support of the community, you know if I see people care then I will work, this is the main reason that caused this comeback, seeing comments from the last 2 months asking for a download of the mod just hit me somehow, I wanted to keep on working, and considering the experience I've gathered in the last almost 4 years, I think I can achieve something grander.

For all your questions concerning the release. I wanted to release a demo version on the 11th but the circumstances couldn't have allowed me this. Also working fot a certain release date adds lots of stress and this produces errors in the script, leading to the "bugful" last year's release. I want the mod to be as good as possible so this take time.

Just a small sneak into the mod files. I do this in order to show you that I am alive, and the mod is progressing, but at a slower rate than before, as we wait for Gates of Hell.

So basically what i plan is to release very small alpha this Autumn containing Russia, Germany, Austria Hungary and maybe France or Britain. The mod will be mostly re-done in order to avoid copyright issues and the old crashes from the former version.
