2021 -> 2022. The new age of internet and what I have done to cope with the changes

Almost 14 years have passed since the first time I am joining this website. On my first day with ModDB, this site was my go-to place where I usually found many ambitious mods, especially for GTA: San Andreas, usually taking references from movies like Knight Rider, Back to the Future, with huge passions that the modders almost always claim that they are capable of recreating the movie experience into the game. Sadly, along their way, they, also I, learn that without proper funding and team management, the project will just turn into dusts.

I am glad to know that these days, platform like Patreon, Kickstarter, and stuffs are solving this problem where fundraising is made easier for project owners. But, I am just sad that knowing the modders way back in my time were so capable and ambitious that I believe they can deliver the project if it is not because of lack of funding. Time has flown away and they have lived their own life. I am praying all the best for all of them as they have really accompanied my childhood, even with unfinished mods. That would be super enough.

Oh yeah, I have not really talked about myself. I am not that active recently here since the mod I found here mostly only the copied versions of the old mod rebranded using their name and their own tagline. I wish ModDB owner could do something to bring back all the ambitious modders back on this site, but who am I to say anyways. Days of first era of internet has passed and now we are entering the new era of Internet 4.0.

I was living in Japan for straight 3 years before returning back to Indonesia for my study before. My 2 years of study were used solely for establishing my own company in Japan. I taught myself to create a big-scale platform project where every request must be done in real-time and the response must be received instantaneously. I formed a team of developers that can make that platform happening and I can proudly say that I did it. I learned the modern ways of creating an infrastructure with Internet 4.0 concept.

You can check out what I have done in my past here at Digimology.com. That sums up pretty much what I have done during my stay in Japan. It was a superb experience overall, and I do not regret any single time I had when I was in Japan although I do not get paid for the project that I have delivered for my own company. I needed to say goodbye to my own company because the reason is that I am just tired of having to explain everything that I did to my ex-colleagues as they keep debating their ideas, not understanding the consequence of their decisions and the technical costs to achieve their silly ideas.

2021 proved that it possesses even much more challenges as more and more people keep entering internet for the barrier of entering it has gradually been decreasing, and it becomes so much easier for people to post their own thoughts online now, seen by many people as well. But I believe the one who provides value and understanding always wins in the end

On the night I had passed through, I met it again. The wind blew so softly and smoothly, as it moves through my head till the latest part of this body. I opened my eyes and look up to the blue sky, since it was illuminated with a stars' glow. I was enjoying that night, whilst I was sitting on the bench that was on the park with a quiet situation, felt something different of what I had gone through my life.
