Well the original has 19, but we're planning to add more, as well as adding variations to existing weapons (being able to upgrade them so to speak)

All you need is JA v1.01, without cracks (JKG will refuse to run on a cracked exe, for security reasons), as long as that's the case, it'll run just fine.

JKA Galaxies currently doesn't run on macs yet but we do intend to get it working on macs eventually. Do note however, that due to the way JKA Galaxies works internally, it will only run on Intel based macs, not on PowerPC macs.

Well, at first at least, we'll be linking up all servers together, meaning one group of GM's on all servers, like WoW as you mentioned.
We may consider releasing the server-side (though probably somewhat modified) to support third party servers (standalone or linked to the main ones) in the future though.

Actually, the limit is now 64 players per server max (though at first we'll start at 32 and raise it when servers get full)

Well, joining two servers together as if they are one wont really work. However, i have just verified the stability of 64 players, so i've upped the player limit to 64 (although that doesnt mean we'll be havin sv_maxclients at 64 all the time due to server strain)

Well, JA servers are limited to 32 players on 1 server at any time.

I have managed to raise that limit to 64, but i couldn't verify if it was stable so for safety i've put it back at 32.

So yeah, at least for now, its 32 per server.
Do note that each planet runs on its own server, and if a specific planet tends to hit 32/32 a lot, we might add an additional server for that planet.

'How many maps were be in it?'

We're planning to start with 3 planets/maps with the initial (beta) release, to see how it's catching on.
After that we can introduce new planets through updates.

'Is planets the maps?'

Uhm, if you mean whether a map represents a planet, then yes.

'Can you drive the ships?'

The ships that you see on the maps are used to travel to other planets yes, but you dont manually fly them (a cutscene will take care of that). The ships themselves are mainly meant to add a new place to hang out and explore (the inside of the ship) and of course, as i said: travelling to other planets through means of a cinematic. (It'll require you to purchase a travel ticket though, rides to other planets ain't free)

'How long this will come out?'

We don't have a release date on this yet, so i can't tell at this point. Stay tuned though :P.

'Is it like star wars galexies?'

The mod is inspired by SWG yes, but we don't want to make a copy of it, so the HUD might look a bit similar, but not identical to SWG. Same goes for other game mechanics: Perhaps familiar, but not the same.

Here's the thing, there's hardly any editing involed :P
The only things that were added in the video editor are the music and the logo, the rest is raw ingame footage, including all the effects you see, such as fadeouts, flashes, color intensity changes, motion blur, dolly zoom, black 'n white, field of view, etc.

All of those are done ingame.

1) The plan is to start with 3, and add new planets as we bring out updates, so basically, start small and expand.

2) No, JKA Galaxies is strictly MP.
