Multiplayer Campaign CTD end of turn in Late 1915 (v5.1.2). Germany vs Russia, crash regardless of units building. No battles happening, crashes after cycling through all nations. Peace made with France the turn before; not sure if significant.

Two bugs to report concerning artillery:

1) In Multiplayer Campaign on end of battle, all artillery units are deleted from your army, regardless of win or loose. Happens after both play battle and auto-resolve. Confirmed for all nations.

2) In MP Campaign, if your cannons are killed in a battle, the battle is instantly lost regardless of troop moral and units remaining.

True, but it is pretty disconcerting when approximately 80-90% of British soldiers bear a Sergeant's insignia; while it would make more sense to replace the 'drummer' or the 'standard bearer' of NTW with a Sergeant. As for the semi-visible Austrian caps, many of the minor nations wear a hat that bears a major resemblance to the Austrian field cap (it is not, however the exact same model. It resembles more closely the M43 series cap of WWII), however either the model or the alpha channel (I am unfamiliar with how NTW handles transparency in textures, so its either a texture glitch or a borked model) is incomplete, leaving 'holes in the hat'. For ease of access, look at Romania or Belgium's troops.

Any estimate on fixing graphical issues such as every member of the British Army being a Sergeant and the myriad of semi-visible Austrian field caps?

Please forgive me if this was listed somewhere obvious, but is multiplayer supposed to not be playable? I've been trying to host a 5.1.1 game with a friend, but both of us are instantly kicked from our own game when either of us tries to host a battle (tested vanilla, and with a different mod; confirmed to be a TGW problem only). Multiplayer campaign allows to get a game going, but we cannot build buildings or troops.

Ignore my query about campaign saves. I solved the issue - wasn't mod related; corrupted folder name.

Navigate to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data\The Great War\Files\Updates folder, and move that file to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data\The Great War\Files\ folder.

I cannot load any save-games when running the mod via the launcher. Specifically, I'm try to save a campaign so I may restart my computer, however whenever I save it does not appears in the 'saved games' list. Additionally I cannot continue campaign from the main menu, and nothing shows up from the load game list. Any advice?

Its the job of the infantry to prevent the enemy infantry from melee-charging the howitzers. Heavy artillery is rubbish in hand-to-hand combat.

Eloquent and diplomatic. I, for one, would be interested to see what you can do.

You're lack of knowledge is legendary. To make a 'whole new game' of any real quality generally requires a development team numbering somewhere between 50 and 100+ (for non AAA studios, many AAA studios employ in the 250-500+ range) and around 3 to 7 years development time. Keep in mind these people also work full time, and are paid for their efforts. L'Aigle has generally less than 10 people, doesn't work full time, and isn't paid. That they've put out work such as this in a year or so is nothing less than astonishing. You're enthusiasm is commendable, but do us all a favor and get a bit of perspective.

NOTICE TO PEOPLE RUNNING v1.053 WHO CANNOT UPDATE:

It is possible to update your game to v1.055 manually by having someone who has v1.055 send you their Entrenchment folder and Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment.exe (compressed, this is ~80mB). Make sure you save backups.

If you're running the old Impulse version, you're pretty much doomed, however since Gamestop only updates to v1.053. I'm in the same boat. (If anyone knows otherwise, please speak up).

Word of warning to those of you who play with flood for the first time - the only thing more terrifying than a fleet of five Thermopylae Class Supercarriers is the fleet of flood which now contains your five Thermopylae Class Supercarriers because you tabbed out without pausing to write about the flood being terrifying on ModDB.

The pirates have been replaced with the flood. There's some system planned for them that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Read the FAQ or die. Or maybe that should be Read the FAQ and die (or read the news post and die, because its written there too, or read the past comments and die, or read other news posts and die), because YOU HAD TO SCROLL PAST THE BLOODY THING TO POST THAT COMMENT. In case you're having trouble finding it (which apparently you are, amongst other more important things) it's in the header at the top of the page, written in big bold letters. It spells out F.A.Q. It lists frequently asked questions. Like when the mod is going to be released. Go. Read. READ!

Probably not. In the current system, the Halcyon Refit is a Capital Ship, whereas the standard Halcyon is just a cruiser.

A one thousand gun MAC salute solves most problems. Frigates may not have shields, and their hulls may be so much tissue paper, but they can pack a helluva punch in large groups.

I think what he meant was that we could borrow the mechanic of using an ability to turn a planet into something else: something with a different model and/or texture, and different stats. That's a damn good idea in my book.

I've been trying to discern exactly what you were saying here. It wasn't easy, but I think I've got it down.

"Personally, I think that the UNSC portraits could be improved upon. I enjoy talking in capslock, as this is the only niche I fill in society; though it does drive me insane."

And the Captain is clean-shaven, so I'm not exactly sure what you were getting at there.

While I could do that, I have several objections.

1) These people, with the exception of the two marines, are all Naval officers. They don't see a lot of face to face combat, and the Naval officers unskilled enough to let their ships get boarded generally end up dead. Actually, come to think of it, once boarded they end up dead regardless of whether they're skilled or not. Hence the unfortunate fate of one Captain Jacob Keyes.

2) Scars aren't really a sign of veterancy, they're just a sign of an inability to duck. Any rookie unlucky enough to jump into the line of fire can rack up a few scars.

3) Covenant weapons leave burns, not scars.

3.5) To counter the argument of, "Maybe they got hit by shrapnel from an exploding bulkhead," let me point out that those crew-members in Halo: CE who got hit by exploding bulkheads died because they got hit by exploding bulkheads. Also, exploding bulkheads are often accompanied by hard vacuum - a pressure differential that isn't generally conducive to one's health.

4) This would require me to do more work on portraits. Something I'm adverse to at this particular moment in time.

5) Since BioWare claims 'Artistic Integrity' is a valid excuse - and who am I to argue with an Electronic Arts Subsidiary - I hereby play that card. Because having it in my hand was kind of embarrassing, and I needed to get rid of it.

So. Tl;dr. No. No scars. Not unless Canada wants me to. In that case yes, there will be scars.
