It's always a possibility that somebody will do a mod like, that would change all (or most) characters voices to AI ones, based on original voices, for those who prefer it like that.

It actually kinda works in any release, but only Quicksave/Quickload, just in case. F6/F7.

Actually it's sort of possible, with Hammer scripts, not sure exactly how but it's how Gonarch and Nihilanth were made in fan made Xen mod for Black Mesa.

Most people use October version, i guess that's why most mods are adapted to it first.

I actually have a version of Duke Nukem 3D where sprite weapons are replaced with actual 3D models of weapons, i can send you the link to this Duke build if you want, you can take that pistol model from there.

Well that's pretty much how it works with some modern games (Horizon Zero Dawn and Cyberpunk 2077 for example), after you complete the game you get thrown back to before the main quest last mission (while keeping of the items and perks you got during that last quest) and all of the NPCs also talk to you like it's before the last quest after it. So i think it will work out, even if it looks weird. Another option would've been to make some dialogue options for NPCs but it's too much of a work, yeah.

Maybe you try to add free roam after credits option to the last version of the patch? ( whether the last patch would be :) )
Maybe make it like so that after the last quest and after credits game would drop you somewhere in (for example) downtown, and last main quest would be in completed list, or something like that.

P:S It would also be useful if you want to for example complete side quests after main quest.

Amazing! Could also reccomend to use AI Upscale like ESRGAN for example, to upscale some beta textures you use in this mod, would look even better, for example in this background, the front house part, especially the one with windows will look great with even slight upscale!
