You need to get the "Ritual Blade" from the trader for 5 hearts and level up Robbery (and maybe also Survival) once, and then just go kill stalkers, you get 1 random part per stalker.

Look inside the bus the poltergeist is circling theres something in there.

You'll get access to the stash later on, but not the money, either reload the autosave before the switch and spend it or keep going.

The starter suit doesn't have any artifact containers to equip them, and you cant put them into your stash because those are marked as quest items.

Look in the bus for a journal/diary.

Go do the task in the mysterious forest and he should show up.

Here's my tasks in order according to the autosave up to the point where it seems you're stuck:

First Earnings -> New Expedition -> Artifacts for the trader -> Small-time jobs -> Old Acquaintances -> Mutant Lair -> Unusual Artifact -> Artifact from a liar -> First Rifle -> Master from the Cordon -> Strange Glow -> Things never change -> Work at the Cordon -> Help Mikhalych -> Surveillance; + some more before going into Garbage.

Some of those are side-tasks but "Work at the Cordon" is the one where I go talk to Sid and he gives me the Surveillance task.

If you didn't get it then you may have missed another main task before it, otherwise I don't know what went wrong.

Check your active Tasks with J, the quest is called "Surveillance".
If you don't have it then maybe you didn't go drink with Yurok in the village after getting your gun?
If thats not it either, then what's the quest name on the last autosave you have?

Did you talk to Sid and get the quest to follow the scientists?

Try switching your "Render type" to Enhanced Full Dyn. Lighting (Dx10), hanged a bit in the loading screen but it worked for me.

Damnit.
Now I might actually have to consider using the other grenades.
