Hey, I'm Tony Yotes, but just Yotes works just fine. I was born in the '90s, which in my humble opinion, was the perfect age to grow up playing awesome games across all generations. That childhood inspired me to pay those good times forward and create my own video game empire. Check out everything I do at www.yotesgames.com

I just stopped by on my trip through memory lane to say I'm still working on the project I started way back when first joining this lil' herd.

I made a couple Pony RPGs you can download.
One is based on Pokemon and the other was inspired by Zelda

Neil seemed to try to be very patient with David. David sounds like a jerk who's not getting the point. Debating religion is one thing, but the prayers are about showing support in the smallest possible way. Knowing another person out there cares about you is emotionally helpful to a lot of people.

It's like if you walked into the middle of a funeral, told everyone in attendance that they're stupid for paying so much to discard a lifeless corpse with a ceremony, and demanding they all give offerings to the deceased one's heirs instead. Maybe the people there need emotional comfort right now, so you can save the logic for later.

Absolutely. Looks like something Markiplier would play. You don't need a publisher. Just send it to a hundred Youtubers.

As of 11/23/14 Unicorn Training has peaked and started its decline. After just reaching the top 10, it is stabilizing around 20 downloads per day and falling to #14 on the top 10 paid RPGs list and even further in other categories. It's been a great ride and I finally have a success number to keep track of in my head! I can't wait to push my limits further and keep making bigger, better games.

TonyYotes - - 30 comments @ Change Current Classwork, Not the Whole Major

At this point I'm just trying to live up to the change I wanted to see while putting out the fires I started. The club was born out of frustration and students are going into a frenzy because they see someone else acting on it. I want to do at least something to stop future students from feeling that frustration before dropping the issue entirely.

I'm not thinking of it as a battle, but as a pitch. We need to prove that a game design major would be beneficial to the school.

I want to live in a world where this game is released and as widespread as Gone Home. I love your work and I love your style Bobby.

I wouldn't even be on my current pony RPG project if it weren't for you.

One thing I forgot to mention was how important it is for me to appeal to the next generation of gamers. Little kids treat their phones and tablets the way we treated gameboys. I want kids to realize that not every handheld game is going to be a small free thing you play for 5 minutes and uninstall.

TonyYotes - - 30 comments @ Yotes Status Report #35

I apologize for the late report today. My laptop is really messed up and the wireless adapter shuts off randomly and the only way to fix it is to restart the computer, only to have it break again even more quickly. To fix this problem I went out and got an Ethernet cable from the school's IT help desk. I'll be treating my laptop like a desktop for a while I suppose. If something's wrong with my computer I can't afford to fix it.

I literally had to retype this whole thing 6 times this morning and I'm pretty sure I lost the tone of excitement and wonder I had when first writing it. I tried copy/pasting after the third shut down but I may still be missing small bits of information I wanted to type up. I tried to cover everything I thought of this morning.

So again, sorry about the delay, I'm really only late or missing when there's internet problems. This blog depends on me having an internet connection and when that goes wrong, I have to fix it immediately. I'm trying my hardest to keep my promise of daily updates at least until Unicorn Quest is out.

(Reminder: My iOS Certifications are starting to expire one-by-one so if you only have an Apple device or want to try Fish Feaster you better get it now before it's gone next week.)

Isn't Self-Taught Experience Better Than a Degree?

When Google is the greatest learning tool on Earth, and it's available for free, why is college still mandatory? I learn more in one afternoon outside of class than I do in a week. Who cares where you learned to do a job as long you can do it right?

Again, I'm really sorry you've dealt with people like that. It's a show on par with Disney films that hits some people in a deep way. Some way more than others. My only advice is not to feed the trolls.

TonyYotes - - 30 comments @ Why I hate bronies so much

I'm sorry that you had bad experiences with bronies, as one myself I can tell you that's just a small minority who were weirdos even before ponies became a thing. There are just certain people who act that way in every fandom.

Obnoxious people will always be obnoxious so it's best to avoid/ignore them. Pony fans seem to be the loudest because it's newest hot thing right now. Something else will come out eventually and the weirdos will migrate to a new fanbase.

No, I like life stories. Also, don't give up on making games! Keep it up and publish them if you can. You won't believe how often I get slapped down just to get back up and keep trying.

My goal is to make the greatest RPG on mobile devices when I graduate.

Yeah, money can get hard to come by. That's why I save up for things like this instead of spend it all on games I want to play or random fast food.
