Have you made sure you have updated the game via the official launcher?
Also, are you running any other mods at the same time?

Hey, Sorry for the late reply.

I put a piece on this on the mod's main page;
"Unfortunately there's a down side to making a mod this massive. The mod is so big that it can't manage multiplayer games. Apparently, if a mod has too many factions, online games struggle to handle it."

I think that is the problem.

I have looked into the multiplayer problem before but I don't think its something I can solve, or that can be solved without deleting factions., sorry

No, that's definitely not normal, I'll look into it.

Does it happen every time you play the map and does it happen on other maps?

I don't think the problem is with the mod. Are you running the official 2.1 Patch? That might have something to do with it. If you don't have the patch, get that and try again. If you have the patch, let me know and I'll go through everything with you until we find the problem.

Hey there.
I'm not sure what Wine is or how it works so I'm afraid I cant help, sorry. If there are any forums for Wine, I would suggest trying on there. maybe someone else has had the same problem with running mods via the -mod method.

Also, unfortunately, you won't be able to play my mod anyway unless you have the Rise of the Witch King expansion as it's a RotWK and not a BfME II mod.

P.S. I would suggest having a look on the net and seeing if you can find anything about people playing mods with no disks for the game. Maybe you can find more than I did.

Hey.

Only a little. If you are playing a Skirmish in Ring mode, you can buy the Blue wizards from the Inn. There can only be one of each wizard in a map so if an enemy or ally buy them first then you can't.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of changes were you looking for?

If you have the disks, just uninstall and reinstall. That usually sorts it out. : )

You shouldn't need to edit that at all. :) If you want to add my new factions to a map so the AI will use them, i have a file you can download so no need to edit any RotWK files.

You don't need to edit anything to run my mod, you usually just put the mod folder somewhere and make a new shortcut to reference it.
If you have an edited or modded main RotWK game folder, then i think you just make a copy of it and take it back to how it was after being installed. Make a shortcut for the game in that folder and edit it to suit my mod.

Hey there.
I think that you might still have some other mod files in you copied RotWK folder because i don't think the War of the Dwarves menu if official and it is not part of my mod.

Also, maybe your shortcut target is wrong (maybe mising a space or something). When you load my mod, the main menu image is of the battle of the pelennor fields so you'll know right away.

You're welcome to use them man.

They are just the normal haradrim from BfME by the way. I just used different animations for the different units. There were enough animations from the original unit to make two new units but still make them look different.

I have resurrected this thread for people to post any issues they know of or come across with the latest 2.1 version.

I don't have enough time to play anymore so if there's a bug I missed before I uploaded, I'm not likely to find it now. So, if you find any issues or bugs and want to see them fixed, please post them here.

I've just noticed that there is a bug with WotR mode that causes the game to crash out. I think it might be with the Rhovanion faction. If anyone spots the bug (or fancies helping to isolate it) let me know here.

Hey man.
It sounds like you're runing the 2.2 unficial community patch but unfortunatley my mod won't work with it.

If you look at the comments on the download page, you can see that someone else had the same problem. Have a quick read through them if you want to be sure that's the problem before up uninstall the patch.

Yep, I'm afraid so.

The mod is virtually all coding. I learnt to code making the mod and that was tough enough in the beginning. I just couldn't be bothered learning to model too. Basically, I just used what was there.

Don't let that put you off trying the mod though. There's loads in there, you're sure to find stuff you like.

Thanks for the link. I think my mod has a lot of the changes that the Wizards mod has. When the AI is using any of the heroes in my mod, it will use their abilities. Unfortunately, there are a few abilities that the AI can't use. My mod doesn't change the Creat-a-Heroes though, sorry.

Except for Angmar and Arnor, all the other factions in my mod have 6 heroes that cost a total of 10,000 resources and take up 200 command points. I have tried to make them better by getting the AI to use all their abilities rather than making them tougher by changing their health or armour. I have also tried to keep all the hero abilities themed to their faction's unique theme.

There are some cool hero abilities in my mod and I think you will be sure to find some you love, or I hope you will. : )

Oh, all the units in my mod also have a single ability too. Some have old ones like Long Shot or change formation but others have new ones like unique buffs or special attack abilities. The AI use these abilities too. :)

Unfortunatly my mod is a stand alone mod and won't work with any other mod. At the moment, I'm not planning to change it, sorry.

I'm not planning on making a launcher either I'm afraid. I'm don't know how to do that right now. I could find out but it wouldn't be any time soon. I just wanted to get the mod finished and uploaded and then take a break.

If your other mods work like mine (with a mod folder and an edited shortcut) then you can run mine from a separate shortcut without it being a problem.

If your other mods works by adding ini. files to the main game directory, then you would have to remove the ini. files from the directory before you could play mine.

It might be possible to make a copy of the main RotWK folder, name it slightly differently, remove the Edain files, make another shortcut for the game in the new folder and edit that shortcut address to play my mod.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean about the wizards. I have added the Blue Wizards if that's what you mean. You can buy them from the Inn if you are playing a map with the Ring Heroes mods activated.

I have no idea why it closes like that. Does it crash out and display an error report?

The obvious things to check are that you are NOT running any other mods at the same time and that both Bfme II and RotWK games are fully updated.

If you want to play my mod, you'll have to play it on it's own and with the BfME II and RotWK games updated with the latest official patches.
