I am using the current version of the mod, and it is the ONLY version of the mod I have ever downloaded (I just got it today). I verified the integrity, and the problem persists. The download of the mod worked fine, so I don't see how it could become corrupted. Also I made sure it's the ONLY mod activated.

Might it be that it doesn't work with some DLC?

The images aren't loading. But based on the Steam Image, Theon Stark should have the Cruel Trait and possibly the Impaler trait too. Based on the wiki, he's done some reprehensible things even by ASOIAF standards.

"King Theon defended the north during the Andal invasion. Aided by House Bolton, Theon defeated the Andal warlord Argos Sevenstar in the Battle of the Weeping Water. The King of Winter then sailed across the narrow sea to the coast of Andalos with Argos's body displayed on the prow of his ship like a figurehead. Theon burned a score of Andal villages, killing hundreds and capturing three tower houses and a fortified sept. The king displayed the spiked heads of his victims along his coastline to deter future invaders."

Awoiaf.westeros.org

He sailed to Andalos, killed hundreds of people, burned civilian population centers, and kept the skulls as trophies. Despite the fact that the people in Andalos probably had very little (if anything) to do with Sevenstar's invasion.

"Theon later conquered the Three Sisters in the Bite and landed an army on the Fingers, possibly part of the War Across the Water. He also defeated rebels from the Rills and aided the Night's Watch in imposing a generational defeat on wildlings beyond the Wall."

Next he participated in the Northern Conquest of The Three Sisters, an event so gruesome it became known as The Rape of The Sisters. And apparently killed so many Wildlings that it took an entire generation to reproduce them.

"Supposedly, they killed children and cooked them in pots, disemboweled men and wound their entrails around spits, executed three thousand warriors in a single day at the Headman's Mount, and Belthasar Bolton made a "Pink Pavilion" out of the flayed skins of a hundred Sistermen."

Awoiaf.westeros.org

These aren't things Theon's descendant Eddard would have done or even approved of.

This game crashes halfway through the loading screen. The loading bar at the beginning gets to "The Seven Ki" then crashes.

I am using 2.7.1, this is the only Mod I am using, and I have all Content and Dynasty Coat of Arms and Portrait DLCs (no Music DLCs).

This actually does look interesting.

What is the End Date for this game? In vanilla it is 1453; in this game will it be that or will it be in an earlier year? If the latter, what date will you choose?

Ok. I wasn't trying to be overly critical or to point the finger of blame; I was just expressing sadness.

Will the new mod you're working on end in the 500s, or will it include the vanilla bookmarks like the old one?

I am very disappointed that you gave up on this mod without completing or stabilizing it. This was a mod I was very excited about, something I looked forward to intensely and expected to enjoy. I was excited because it combined the classical era with the medieval one, allowing us to watch the transition and alter history in an even greater way. No other mod like this exists for CKII and it is unlikely that a similar one ever will again.

I am wary of the the new mod you claim to be working on. I'm not all that thrilled that it will only span five centuries, but the big deal breaker for me is that I do not want to get my hopes up only for you to abandon it as well.

So this mod is going to stay incomplete? That's depressing ...

Are you still working on this mod? I would like to play it once it is completed, but right now it still has a lot of problems.

What type of aid did you have in mind? I must admit that I do not know the first thing about coding, though I would be more than happy to provide ideas.

Adding the option to destroy holdings is a good call, as that happened in history.

On looting, I still think giving commanders a choice as to whether or not to tolerate it would be better than just not giving a choice. There were some generals that kept strong dicipline, if not out of personal honor than out of a desire to prevent their future ecnomic assets going up in flames. For example, William the Conqueror wouldn't even let his soldiers ride through wheat fields (let alone sack or loot) because he knew the kingdom he was invading would be his soon.

I do agree that gaining the craven trait shouldn't be automatic. Maybe a chance of gaining craven, a chance of gaining cynical, and a chance of nothing happening. And perhaps executing looters could have a followup event where your soldiers resent you for awhile (like you gain a modifier which lowers your soldiers morale for a few years, and there's a chance of your soldiers trying to assassinate you [suceeding or failing depending on your own traits]).

"You have made an example of your soldiers, punishing them for the sack. While the people of [city name] appreciate this, your own soldiers will resent you for this." (gain modifier "denied plunder" [reduces morale of any army this character leads], 25% chance character receives event)

follow-up Event:

"You are asleep in the officer's tent, when you find a group of your own soldiers in your tent! 'We're not following you any longer!' one of them shouts, as they all draw their swords."

Option 1: Reason with these men. (assured or high chance survival, only available with high diplomacy)

Option 2: "How much will it cost to make you put your swords down?" (assured or high chance survival, only available with high stewardship)

Option 3: "I won't go without a fight!" (50% chance survival, 50% killed by own men, only available with trait "brave")

Option 4: "You've just made a big mistake ..." (80% gains trait "wounded", only available with high martial)

Option 5: Call in hidden bodyguards (assured survival, only available with "paranoid" trait)

Option 6: Beg for life (very low survival chance, gain trait "craven")

Option 7: "Please let me pray before the end. (character dies, gains piety)

I hope your mod includes Boudica's Rebellion (I'd love to play as Gaius Suetonius Paulinus, as he is one of my favorite generals) and The Dominion of Soissons (A Western Roman Sucessor State would be a legendary start for a new European Empire).

Awesome!

One idea I have is that after capturing a city, an event fires giving the commander a choice of what to do with the city's inhabitant. It might be something like this.

"The city of Carthage has fallen, and now you have the right to choose what to do with the people."

Option 1: "Enslave them!" (city suffers depopulation, slave camps appear in your realm, you gain trait "greedy", chance of gaining trait cruel)
Option 2: "Kill them all! Leave none alive!" (city suffers major depopulation, gain trait "cruel", gain trait "wroth", chance of gaining bad nickname such as "the Devil" or "the Cruel" or "the Black" or "the Butcher of [city name]").
Option 3: "Leave the people be, they have done nothing wrong." (gain trait "kind", gain trait "just", chance of gaining good nickname such as "the merciful" or "the just").

There could also be an event where your soldiers loot a city without your say-so, and where you have to deal with them.

"The city of Carthage has fallen, and your soldiers have taken it upon themselves to sack the city for all it's worth. Many men, women, and children now lie dead."

Option 1: "Such is the right of conquest!" (gain trait "proud", chance of gaining trait "cruel")
Option 2: "I dare not deprive my men of their spoils ..." (gain trait "craven")
Option 3: "This is intolerable. Execute some of the looters as an example" (gain trait "just").

Are you going to add slavery?

It was an important part of life in the ancient world, and entire economies were dependent upon the the slave trade to function. I think it is such an important part of life in the Ancient World that it needs to be presented in some form, even if only by traits or events.

In the game, Faramir has "Blood of Nunemor" while Boromir has "Drops of Nunemor Blood". Why does Boromir have less magic blood than Faramir: they both have the same parents so therefore it wouldn't makes sense for one to have less Nunemor Blood than the other.

I don't know if you put this in yet, but would it be possible to have slices try to escape? What I mean is, if you have a slave in your court, and he hates you, and he has a trait like ambitious or brave, than it would make sense that he would try to run off. It would make it intresting as to how you would punish them if they fail in their attempt to escape, and if they succed that you should get the option to place wanted posters in your kingdom to look for him (the higher reward for his bounty, the better chance of him being turned in).

This is a fun mod, especially because of how intricate it is.

That being said, is there a wiki that explains the finer details of this mod?

Ah, okey.

I understand, prioritizing is important.

Anyway, you're doing a good job on this mod. Really fun.

I have a question, and it may sound silly.

Are you going to add Fire Drakes to the game? I know that dragons (specifically Smaug) in the books are extinct by the time periods covered, but the custom character designer gives the player the option if playing as a skin changer or a balrog, so I don't think being able to play as a dragon would be too much of a stretch.

Just a suggestion.

I do not know if this has been asked before, but why do I need a casis belli to attack wilderness? Shouldn't I just be able to move in and take it over?

Why are ring-bearers sterile? I suspect that there is a reason for this, but it makes it impossible to start up a dynasty while playing as Frodo or Bilbo.

There appears to be a problem with the download. I tried extracting the file into the right area, but I only got one of the two necessary files. Please help.
