Performance is very important to me though! I'm not sure there's anything intrinsic about Unity that makes it run badly on older machines, just the way people use it. (there are certain effects that get very expensive very quickly on older machines, for instance projectors will blow out fillrate like crazy)

With some of the effects turned down, I'm still getting 60fps on my old laptop so I'm optimistic that it'll run acceptably on anything remotely gaming orientated.
