After playing through all 1000 rooms I can say that the low turning speed did not prevent me from playing, alhtough it required some more effort. It did discourage me from looking around and examining the areas. I'm fairly sure it's a compatibility glitch since I've seen gameplay videos of people swinging around 180 degrees.

The turning speed in my case is too low. The same mouse movement distance that makes the cursor go all the way across my desktop, ingame only turns me maybe 45 degrees. Trying to play causes a lot of wrist strain. I hope there will eventually be a proper keyboard and mouse configuration menu.

Hi, I asked and Rahaks's startup issue (and mine too) are most likely video playback related. The game requires Windows Media Player components for the logo & intro, so if wmp is uninstalled (or something is missing, maybe a codec?), it won't work. I have not tried this yet, but it sounds reasonable.
