Will Nod be able to heal/replenish their infantry via Secret Shrine?

Reskinned Cryo Legionnaires from RA 3? Damn, this is brilliant, hope they are resilient T3 infantry, able to take light vehicles and enemy infantry on their own. Looking forward using these guys.

My bad for trying to play with the vanilla campaign maps xD I thank you for the outstanding mod and look forward to the next updates. Having a blast

Firestorm 1.7:

The first mission of Nod is impossible to get past, since the Bomber squad can't breach through the walls, they are so resilient that the entire squad is gone without destroying at least one wall segment, failing the mission

Any chance for GDI infantry to get their proper Tiberium field suit skins? Would be lovely:

I love the added KW units without much hassle around the core of the mod. The single infantry units are a nice touch and make it more fun, like in C&C Zero Hour. But its sad that it doesn't work in the campaign (of course I tried, failed at the 1st GDI mission which requires 3 Riflemen to be trained).

Would it be possible to make a version of this mod without the skirmish focus, but added KW units, single infantry units and campaign compability?
I like the simplicity, but would love to play the campaign with it.

Hm maybe a choice system. You have a Zone Commando, you can't train the Vanilla one. The Zone Commando dies and you can train the Vanilla one, but now the Zone Commando is locked. Isn't that a fine proposal? Anyways thanks for a kickass mod.

I second this. I would like to have my beloved vanilla Commando back. Maybe you could give the (vanilla) Commando a tad more hitpoints and a slight damage bonus against vehicles at veteran rank. The same goes for the Nod Commando and voila. Also vanilla GDI commando inside a Hammerhead would slap some serious ***. The Zone boy can't even fire his mini Ion target painter while inside. I hope you bring him back, for GDI, for Earth.

Amazing mod, but I strongly dislike the GDI Commando, any chance we get like a choice option? Like you train either the Zone Commando or the vanilla Commando and the other one gets greyed out until the current version dies in battle, so you can pick again.

Never understood why most mods change the GDI commando into something worse (from my POV), surely his mini Ion painter is flashy and pretty strong but the mod adds so much and yet still, swaps out one of my favourite units. Thank you, keep up the good work.

Firing the Particle Cannon as the Laser General feels like you unleash God's wrath upon you enemy. That sound design is top notch, Particle Cannons sound must never change, just phenomenal.

In general the mod feels exceptionally well polished, surely I miss some units here and there, like Chinese Hacker & Black Lotus, but I'm sure these will be added in their own time.

The only true critique I have, concerns the Generals promotion screen. Sometimes I have a hard time to recognize which ability I already bought & which I still have to select. But either I'm blind or that's nitpicky, let's be honest.:)

Fujitai... just amazing! The Queen is a innovative replacement for the King Oni, way more versatile and you made it yourself from scratch, that's some dedication. Also the Fujitai Soldier is my personal favourite now, proper fast firing Pulse Rifles & the ability to permanently switch to the sword and back to the rifle is brilliant. These guys are pretty deadly and exceed the base Imperial Warrior in every aspect, as it should be. Combine them with the rank up from the Nanoswarm and you have a deadly squad of commando units in no time, which will shred wannabes like Tanya and Natasha in an instant.

Just good work on everything, thank you. :)

The idea of giving the main factions the MCV's of the subfaction is genius. So one can still enjoy the campaign with the new units. On that note, looking forward to the Fujutai Soldier! Do you plan to give the GRF a new basic infantry too? If so, I thought about something along those lines:

Static.wikia.nocookie.net

A marine/rifleman, similar to the GDI forces for example. I love my Peacekeepers, but I think this subfaction at least will look nice with a new main line infantry.

That is unfortunate. So as I see it, *the* original game is not available digitally, neither GOG nor Steam, or am I mistaken? Cause the version on steam has (2013) behind it, while it came out 1999. So its only that HD version. Although I have a CD drive, I actually don't want to buy a disc.

They should have done it like the devs from Homeworld did it; give you the true *original* game and their remaster. Not force a HD version on you, when you want the original.

I know it's a silly question, but will this work for the definitive edition? This mod lets me ponder to buy the game, just to play your mod.

Another idea would be to change the original GDI commandos role to a squad of elite infantry, similar to Nod Shadows, a group of 4, dedicated to the elimination of enemy infantry.

Any plans on reverting the GDI Commando back to his vanilla version? I dislike the Zone Commando and feel the vanilla version would actually give a counterpart feel, now that Nod has a proper Commando. Or maybe add him alongside the Zone Commando, he will be a Tier 2.0 Commando, not requiring a Space Command Uplink. I just get the creeps when a modder replaces the GDI Commando, no offense. ;) Great mod.

Edit: Wrote the above from my phone, hence the Guest status. Forgot to mention that the UEF port would work better as building instead of being an embellishment/mass source.

What do you think about the idea, adding a copy of a field engineer named "Colonizer or Foreman" and giving it all Civ buildings with their respective angles? Like "UEF Residential Building Front/Back/Left/Right" and so on for all other types of buildings.
I know that would be a lot of work but maybe you take it into consideration one day, or never which would of course also be fine.

Your mod has the potential to make SupCom into a city builder game, would love to see more of that. Looking forward to the Civ mini walls.

Best regards

I've played Half Life 1 & 2 countless times over. Yet still this has a fascinating appeal. You are definintely unto something.

I like the Combine Soldier skin too, with simple resources created something effective.

Looks damn fine. Japanese radar boath I see too, missed that unit in vanilla, just looks too good, for just one or two mission in campaign.

Still hope that this: Cnc.fandom.com building gets a spot, just love the japanese style in RA3. Maybe you could also lower the tech requirements for the command building? Like to build those, but since they are T 4, they are sometimes hard to reach in the heat of battle.

RA3 is one of those games, where I like to build a neat base, especially with the Japanese.

VRAlfons - - 157 comments @ Do I add an Epic unit per faction IF balanced correctly ???

Hm, I have to strongly oppose the addition of "Epic" units. They make the game focused on solely reaching said epic unit. Look at C&C Kanes Wrath, where most matches relied on building your epic first.

Also which epics are the Soviets and Allies supposed to get? The Japanese have the Shogun executioner, but can't remember an equivalent for the other two.

Its your mod, so your call to make but make small steps instead of adding things, just because you can.

I ask and encourage to add a small mechanic to Nod. Maybe its not that widely use, and maybe some dont need/like it but it would be super nice to have the Secret Shrine heal Infantry, just as the GDI Armory does. Never made sense to me, that Nod doesnt provide medical field service to at least their elite units like Black Hand and Shadows. Thank you and please consider it.
