thebluebelt @ Valve To Replace Steam Greenlight With Steam Direct

This is something that was bound to happen, way too much low level games found their way unto Steam. A single $50 fee (i believe), was all that was needed to get listed on GL.

And yes, i do have mixed feelings about this approach a lot of Indie developers will shun the "new greenlight" concept.

I can only hope that some sort of quality control will active and give some Indies a chance to prove themselvs.

Hiya people, apologies for gone missing i promise to be here more often.
Reason of my absense that i got too much on my hands few months back (little over a year tbh)
Too much games to play and a growing friendslist there made me spent more and more of my time there.
Tings kinda calmed down now so that gives me some space to be here more often then i did.

Yours Blue

I'm having vacation in my Refrigerator, build a cosy nest there and only come out at night when the temperatures are acceptable.

Buying bundles will do that.
And can you believe that there are people on Steam
Who have even more? I mean in the thousands. 2,3 or 4
Thousand is not uncommon.
But yeah, games are dirtcheap aspecialy whith sales.
Disounds of 75% are normal compair this with retail, they just can't compete with those prizes.
Last game i bought retail was Tropico5 for full price, and cost me 60 euros.Only for the base game and Calypso like to spam out DLC's to complete the game. So i felt a bit tricked.
Plus retailers here are very focused on the gamesconsoles, so pc games are a bit rare only topselling top ten on the self.
For 60 euro's when i play it right will buy me online an equal amount of digital copies, and maybe even a bit more.
For such low prices and quantity of games the hoarder instinct kicks in, and that is the end of a beginning and the beginning of an end.

Well, now you mention it.
It seems my memory is lacking sometimes.
When i go through my games library i sometimes find
a game i realy can't remember buying.
And i am like "how did i manage to buy this piece of crap"
So not only my memory is fading but also my standards.
(Yeah i have issues, going to see a doctor tomorrow.)

Phew, Steam Summer Sales are over.
It was pretty hectic for me. Got me some great deals on games i wanted for a long time.
But one in particular Subnautica, I bought that one from the Humble Bundle Site.
That one is my favorite, I'll post some screenshots of it soon.
My computer can barely handle that game, but it handles it.

Uuhh, y..yeah.
Steamsale taking a lot of my time.
I have a pretty extended wishlist over there.
So i am regularly going though in to make some good choises.
Trying to avoid some pitfalls in the process.
There are some rumours that some developers tried to sneaky raise the price before the sale so you end up paying the original price in the end.

Well i think that is maybe the best solution.
Otherwise you could end up like me;

Those games are amazing. The first one Project Light has beautiful artwork and lovable chibi characters.
The second one Cross Reverie, nice old school RPG mechanics.
Very ecxited how they develop.

For some people this is unbelievable not having a Steamaccount.
And for me.. yeah i know you guys are out there.
Our friend Shadow Micha doesn't have one either.
I got some keys lying around, i could set both you and Shadow up with a nice starter kit if you want.

Hehe, "other place".
Yeah i played a few. It is only that for a few weeks now, i have this Playing block. Haven't played much games now for a long time.
I rather talk to friends at moment, it gives my more pleasure then gaming.

Yup, fun is the most important thing.
If fun is not present then it would be more survival.
And that can't be good.
