Hey mate, this game is still in development. I spoke with leadership a few months ago and the team is undergoing some transition with the release of UE5 and a new framework that they are working with. But I can promise you that it is going to be worth the wait. I can't divulge any more details than that though.

Hey mate, the odds of picking MERP back up for Skyrim are relatively minuscule. Most of the team has moved on in their careers and life. I personally am working on an indie game called The Old Forest with strong influences from that chapter and maybe someday if we can get a license, I would really like to create an open world RPG in Unreal set in the first age in Beleriand, but that's a pipe dream in all honesty.

Maybe it's similar to the same reason T-Rex and other apex predators of the Cretaceous have short arms. It only really needs legs for running and a mouth for eating.

The mod is incomplete, but due to the C&D issued from Warner Bros., it cannot be continued. There is a very playable state available though.

Unpack the assets as traditional "Data" folder files and manually place them in the appropriate folders. Usually it is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Oblivion\Data". Let me know if that doesn't work.

Hey guys, due to some technical difficulties around highly detailed architecture, collision and AI, we've been suffering from severely slow frame rates. Thane, abot and myself have been working diligently to try and resolve the issue. The good news is that we are on the right track and have been able to improve the frame rate considerably. The bad news is, this is pushing our alpha release further back. Check back soon for updates. Feel free to private message me if you would like to offer assistance.

Thank you for the kind comments! This has been a very fun and fulfilling project thus far; although, I am truly humbled and inspired by the fantastic creativity from Tamriel Rebuilt, Lyithodonea, Stirk, MGE, Morrowind Rebirth and so many countless other great mods.

Well great news then, come January 13th you no longer start in the prison, you start in Bree. Full release is a loaded word, there is always going to be more content we add to the mod, probably even ten years down the road. We are not just creating Hobbiton the Mordor like in the book or films, we are creating all of Middle-earth, even places were the books never took you. We want to put as much detail into places like the Grey Mountain, Mirkwood, Khand, South Gondor and Harad as we do in the places that the Lord of the Rings takes place, and as such, we will be constantly adding new quests and content. I'm back from my internship so I can start modding again, I'll direct the team to focus on fixing the errors and making a very playable demo for the future before we continue further development. No eta though, just soon...

Hi everyone, I'm just reminding you all about my internship in South Dakota Badlands that may last until the end of October but my end as soon as August 12th. I will resume work on the mod when I return to Colorado and have a chance to work on it with my mod computer. I do not have regular access to an internet connection so it may be a while till the next you hear from me, and even longer till the next beta. Until then, have fun.

Sorry for my disappearance. As some of you know, I live in Colorado, USA, and more importantly, Weld County, where a stage 3 tornado touched down and knocked out the power and fried my power supply to my computer. Luckily no data was lost, however I was out of computer access for over a week.

I like what we have planned for the next few updates, but I wont promise that my view will be universal, it's unpredictable what pleases people.

You don't start in Middle-earth yet. We've coded it, but we haven't implemented it yet because different races start in different starting locations, and quite obviously, every location, or even mostly every location is ready, done, or even started.
