I don't usually comment or provide feedback, but after waiting 8 years- I thought I should say something. The first time I saw half-life was when watching my unkle play on his computer. Then my brother tried it for himself, and I watched him play all the way through. I was probably too young to play games (FPS), so I never ended up playing half-life, but I still remember it and the good child hood memories brought with it. Fast Forward to 2004 and I hear that they're making a remake, I was probably 11, and so I thought I might actually play it for the first time. Over the course of 8 years I waited to relive the same experience my brother once had, but this time I would be in Gordons shoes playing for myself. At times I thought the mod might be dead, but there was always a sense that it wasn't. I was correct when they finally released a few pics about 3 months ago or so. Now the game's released, and long story short. Thank you- I LOVE the game!

I played the game and it was great! It definitely was challenging, and I died like 80x, but I still beat it XD

Looks really cool, and confusing, but that's probably expected from a game like this. I like the move when the player is yellow and performs a dash as blocks scatter across the screen...nice :)

Very good questions boodah. As of right now, the game is only going to be single player campaign. The first release of std will just be the campaign. After the game is released I will start to work on survival mode and possibly co-op campaign (it will have it's own story). My goal with survival mode is to only win by beating your old time of staying alive. So the mode will be endless and as time increases the enemies get harder, but right now I'm staying away from modes and multiplayer, as the campaign is the main focus of this game. Currently I am done writing the script for the first chapter of the game which includes the first 2 levels of the game. Survive the Dead isn't a typical walk and shoot top down shooter. The levels in survive the dead are large scale maps, each unique and different, and in every level their is going to be completely different stuff and new interactions plus the amazing story line I have so far. I've only scratched the surface of survive the dead, and I hope to give my watchers a new update soon :) Oh btw I'm making a new logo and it's almost done.

Thanks for asking boodah72. If you look at it this way, I'm still designing concepts for characters. This means it will be a long time before I can actually finish making the characters, adding in a story line and so on for every new object that talks. The games over all completion progress can be seen as this. I'm basically completely done making the game's (engine) and purely focusing on designing levels and making characters. This would make the completion of the game at about 25%- the hardest part is over with and basically it's all creative juices flowing for the rest of the 75%, instead of solving code and math problems. YAY!

Looks like the game never got released July 9 (my birthday). Uh well, it's part of being a single developer :) Don't worry though I won't pull off black mesa source and never keep you updated well over a year. The game is looking great and i'm still developing it everyday.

I'm happy to announce Survive The Dead WILL have co-op mode, However it won't be ready when the game is released. Once the game is released July 9 only the single player is going to be finished. Then i'll add an update every few weeks that adds on to the game. co-op mode being first, survival mode being second, and if the game is successful enough i'll make online multi-player. (I've never programmed a game to go online so that might take a while)

Thanks :) I tried to achieve a more gruesome effect for the weapons toolbar instead of a boring rectangle. It was also was kind of inspired from the Left 4 Dead hud that has an abstract splatter style to it.

Hey unkown :) I'm glad you can help with coding, however I'm basically done coding the whole game and just designing levels/graphics right now. I'm not completely done with coding though and I do need some help with a couple of things. I need a bullet tracker that shows how many bullets you have left in your gun. I never got around to do this and frankly don't know how. If you could somehow point me in the right direction or even PM me a code for a bullet counter then that would be great!

You're right! I thought the same old cursor was getting boring. I'm gonna make every gun's cursor different and it really doesn't take that long, plus considering I don't have to rush this game.

hey unknow5763! Thanks for the comment, no seriously I take every one's idea by heart and cherish it because it's great ideas that make great games and your idea is awesome! I have decided that I will add idle animations to every gun sprite (that's 8). Sounds like I need to bust out my creativity. If you have any ideas of an idle animation I should do (like throwing a knife in the air then catching it) then go ahead post a comment back. Thanks!

Sadly, and unfortunately I'm on the bus and I have a 6 hour day of school ahead of me. Don't worry, because I will be back online later today to update more stuff for STD(survive the dead).
