Try replacing the game's executable with this one from the Enhanced version and with LAA checked: Raw.githubusercontent.com
Put the dinput8.dll from the TLD folder next to it, in the root folder. Works for me.

Here's what we've added to the download page.
Note: Because of the stringent memory requirements, the only supported variant of the original game is the latest, DRM-free «enhanced version» [1], with Mount&Blade;.exe patched as large-address aware [2].
The Steam version will not work out of the box. Alternatively, you can download a pre-patched executable from here [3] and replace the one in the Steam folder. It is the same shareware version, with one (LAA) bit toggled. No other changes.
Without doing this the game will either crash at startup complaining about texture files or it will crash after surpassing ~1460 MB of RAM.

Just the latest one linked on Tldmod.github.io
Standalone TLD release (this) + latest nightly patch.
The cool thing is that you can keep overwriting your patched mod install by pasting any newer nightlies on top and staying up to date.
Hope that helps. Remember to extract the TLD folder in the correct order.
Sounds like a RAM issue, not a storage issue. Maybe I went a bit overboard with the ultra compression ratio this time around.
Adding swap (as a RAM substitute) probably helps here: Thewindowsclub.com
My other suggestion would be using 7-Zip instead, if you have tried extracting it with WinRAR and failed: 7-zip.org
Yes, to the best of our ability. InVain has been very careful, we now have a mechanism to detect old saves and 'fix' them when you load them in newer versions of the mod. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Here's the changelog, always up to date: Steamcommunity.com
Yes. They are equivalent, r3282. For those who want automatic updates the Steam Workshop is a good way of playing the mod.

For those who prefer the manual install, to get the latest features and fixes please download this TLD 3.6 and regularly patch it with the latest nightly at Tldmod.github.io.
We release new patches with improvements weekly, so this base version will quickly get out of date and your bugs may have already been fixed. So keep that in mind.

Keep in mind that making new quests is one of the most difficult, annoying and time-consuming parts of modding Mount&Blade;.
That's why the original game didn't have more that 20 randomized quest types. The TLD team is working on it, but people contribute on what they find interesting or meaningful at any given time.
We are organized, but this is still a hobby; so quests take more time and coordination that your average feature. New concepts, scripting, dialog, assets, art, scenes, menus, translations and items that have to work together coherently while staying fun.
It quickly starts to feel like a chore; specially when people come and go, and there's no deadline.
If you are using Steam you just have to verify the game files:
Support.steampowered.com
It will recover anything you overwrote in your macOS Warband.
Either M&B 1.011 or Warband, and a bit of patience while reading the instructions.
It's the other way around, actually. Without the latest nightly your game will crash and burn. Nightlies are the latest and greatest version yet.
What about downloading the latest M&B 1.011 nightly patch from Swconquest.github.io that comes with that fix and many more built-in?
I made a thread in the Steam Workshop profile, in the discussions section.
Thanks for the reminder. Just fixed it, the upcoming M&B 1.011 nightly should fix it. Just overwrite the folder containing the previously patched version. Easy as pie.
Ensure that you have downloaded the three latest files available here: Swconquest.github.io.
After that is just a matter of extracting them in order and overwriting the SWC folder with the newer stuff.
That error appears when you try to run the M&B 1.011 version in Warband, so give it another go.
Get it from here: Tldmod.github.io
Comes with instructions.
Can you help me test this new guide? Steamcommunity.com
I only port mods that I like or which I am part of. Still, porting anything to Warband should now be a piece of cake thanks to the sheer amount of public TLD (open-source) code.
I sweat the hard stuff so others don't need to: Github.com
You will be able to download them from here: Swconquest.github.io
The page updates automatically with the latest links. Don't worry, these nightly patches shouldn't surpass the 20mb mark, and you will only need the latest one if you already have the [standalone + Warband patch] released today.
Hey, Geroj!
Yeah, the original TLD team, after they finished the mod only Merlkir remained.
Good to see you again. If you tell me your Steam username I can add you to the Steam Workshop item, if you want to talk about the good times with Vector and HokieBT, they are all there.
I probably used a newer 7-zip version. The Warband compatibility patch has been reuploaded and compressed more conservatively. Give it another go and report back!
I'm not going to make another profile. We have everything here.
That's right. The latest manual downloads will always be available here: Swconquest.github.io
That's all you need. Forget about searching for random files, just like in TLD now everything is in one single place, neatly organized and always updated.
It's been fixed some days ago. Download the latest nightly.
It's been fixed, download the new nightly.
Too few people, too much work, too much time, too little compensation. We stubbornly worked on SWC for six years at breakneck speed before stopping altogether. When one is out of high-school has also more obligations.
