Darkplaces Engine though? Really? Care to explain why?

He only had one ball IIRC
(...the other is in the Albert Hall AFAIK)
+1 - The kerning is waay too tight and obtrusive. The logo is terrible (no offence) aswell for that matter. Why have light gradient filled heavyweight next to a dark red, grunge face in a almost unreadably light weight? Does to this sense make you(?) - (about as much as the the 'design').
That aside, I'm following this project, as it's early days yet and it's looking like you're on the right path!
More like 1998, in Ridge Racer Type 4...
May want to sort out the number of typefaces and general visual heirachy in future revisions of the UI, it's a bit of a typographic nightmare as is. Despite the above, it's definately going in the right direction, as is the rest of the project. Excellent stuff guys (and girls?), looking forward to future updates and a stupendous release.
How many projects like this have the team (or individual members of it) completed before this?
Uhhh, sounds like you're not exactly the most clued up person on software versioning and development cycles yourself from your posts and comments. So why get all narc'd when someone is merely having a joke?
Nice shots, shame about the write up.
I'm not too keen on that team selection UI, while finished well, it's severely lacking in any real layout structure. It feels really weird to look at like the lower elements are trying to drag their siblings inward, in the process destroying any emphasis on the main focus of the dialog.
Shouldn't this be under Standalone UE3 instead of UT3?
Probably not such a great idea to ask for PayPal donations quite yet (, ever?), for a mod with so little progress.
Just finished watching the sneak preview and I must say it's looking great guys, I look forward to your future updates!
Sounds like you don't know as much as you think...
OB supports custom shaders now... *nudge nudge wink wink*
Awesome! Finally custom shaders on the Orange Box engine!
I believe you meant 'vulgar'; and get a sense of humor.
Nice stuff btw.
Didn't meant to sound like such an anus there.
Alternatively you could just pull that carrot out of your ***, AlCool.
Cars + multiplayer source engine != good.
It should be "from inception to birth" when ideas are the subject but anyway.
Why are do many mod sites look and feel terrible? Anyway, great stuff on the mod itself. Fruits of your labour have really come to bear nicely.
"Controls? The mouse is inverted by default! There is no jump key! The sensitivity is so slow ...."
1. That's why there's a settings menu.
2. Part of the mod's genius, it keeps things realistic by stopping bunnyhoppers and makes you vulnerable when you use it to climb over things.
3. Lower your settings or get a faster machine. My friend runs this with a 2ghz p4, 1gb of ram and an Ati 1600 on full sets for crying out loud.
- It's pushing the Source EP1 engine pretty much to the limit it should be a far smoother affair when they move to the Orange Box codebase.
- Care to explain?
- What interface? There's no HUD.
That means you probably didn't have the latest dlls. Always check the main site incase a hotfix has been released if you have such problems.
If you can't join any servers you're going to put the contents of RnLa3v2.zip into the mod directory:
Bi-studio.com
See the following thread for more info, should help:
Realitymod.com
Shame about the site, looks like something from back in '01. It doesn't really reflect the innovation of the project.
