On DS: DragonQuest IX (Quite an awesome DS-RPG, in my Opinion).

Had an HDD-Death right after installing and starting to play SC2:
1st indication was at the 1st Mission getting repeated even tough I've chosen to play the next one, then when I got back to Windows, the Java-Updater made an Error-Message, about not being able to update.
Trying a restart of the PC for that revealed a non-loadable HDD, even cutting-off all connections, and leaving the PC off for over half a Day didn't fix it, so in the End, I had to reinstall Windows.
So I finally decided, to take the X-Mas-money, to get myself a 2TB-SATA, that I used to completely install everything from Scratch.
Now, My PC runs quite a lot faster(due to my dead HDD being an IDE-Drive).
Well , in the End, I'm having a total of 3TB HDD-Space, and the 1TB -SATA got reformattet into the NTFS-System, after moving it's files to the 2TB-HDD.

Well. I think, my next Upgrade should be a new CPU, 'cause my current one is only an AMD AthlonXP 64 3500+ (still a single-core CPU), even tough, that would make me reinstall everything again.
