Lol, i dunno... {EDIT} I should probably bother to fill this in, I am a great fan of modders everywhere, despite being fairly bad at modding myself. The only real time I did create mods was when I edited data files in Age of Empires 2 and that didn't last very long (I have a short attention span). As you can probably tell from my logo I am also a huge Deus Ex fan and chose the picture because Icarus is cool enough to give you a warning to run while you can. If you have no idea what I am talking about here or if you think Deus Ex:Invisible War and Deus Ex:Human Revolution are good games then leave.......now.....just go....the exits over there....no, on your right....could you close the door behind you? Ah, whatever, their already gone.

Judging from the night in the video, will these creatures work similar to shadowbeasts?

e.g. stay in caves/dense forests during the day and then come out at night?

Haha yeah, it would have been better if the nod could be performed on everyone. The fact that you could ONLY do the nod to members, made finding them a lot easier.

It is funny doing the nod to Nagur when Martin is in the tavern.

Has anyone else noticed in the bot match that Sam Carter and Walton Simons are never present, unless playing KTL (Then Sam Carter is a leader) Is there anyway to fix this?

I am not very good at modding myself, however, I have begun working on a small Deus Ex video, inspired by this mod, with funny voice acting. It is made using screenshots because my computer is terrible at capturing videos from games. I will upload it to my profile soon MadGangster you should totally look.

It has been a while since I posted any comments here, and that is because I have had no problems until now.

A few days ago I uninstalled UT2004 and killing floor (version 3) and now whenever I try re-installing KF3 it says that it cannot unarchive newtextures.tex (or whatever it is called). I tryed redownloading it from the link you gave me but it still doesn't work.

Killing Floor 2.52 does still work though.

Its not really a bug but in the 'no kills' challenge you're not allowed to let allies kill people either which is kinda annoying. I was playing the first level and released Gunther, who then killed the NSF guard with his knife, and this killed me.

Also, I tried using the mini-crossbow and it does not fail the challenge.

I don't understand, what exactly is wrong? You just have to extract the files, and place them in the appropriate folders inside the Deus Ex root folder before clicking on the Unified Deus Ex launcher.

Sorry about this but I have some more questions;

The mini-crossbow is listed under the pistol skill in Deus Ex, does this mean that it would not be allowed in the 'No firearms challenge' that includes pistols and such?

Also, I am guessing that the 'Do not knock anyone out' challenge still allows for trigger happy gun-running.

Plus, you should try contacting Kocmo, the creator of Unified Deus Ex, as he is incorporating mods that edit the Deus Ex.u file together. He has not been on Moddb for some time though and is probably working with the revision team at the moment.

Reading back through the comments is helpful.

Your computer will display the menu as too big and you will be unable to start a new game.

However, the author is currently working on a 1x scale release which will fix this problem. Watch this space.

No need to test it, I already did, and the alarm didn't fail the challenge. I think it is because it is a different form of alarm.

Great mod! I like how it incorporates DeusEx stats.

It is good to see new mods here, thank you!

Question: Isn't the 'Do not trigger any alarms challenge' impossible? As when you deactivate the generator in the warehouse in hells kitchen an alarm is automatically triggered each time.

Also, you should try mixing up the challenges a bit to add to the replayability because a lot of these challenges can be done together; such as the no augmentations challenge and the no biocells challenge because you won't need them.

Im sorry if you misunderstood, but i did say that this supports what you want. YOU DO NOT have to have shifter or biomod or revision changing gameplay.

You CAN just have the UI, but will need a direct3D 10 renderer. (most computers have one already)

The game Gothic (another RPG) has a feature whereby if you draw a weapon when near guards they will draw theirs and warn you to put the weapon away, before then attacking you after a few seconds.

This could be an added bit of realism into the game in places such as the UNATCO HQ, as I don't think people would allow you to aim a gun at Manderleys head in real life.

This is kind of shown in the bar in Hells Kitchen as if you equip a gun Jordan Shea( and Jock when he is there ) will attack you instantly. Strangly though they don't attack if you equip some melee weapons.

There is this new amazing development called....Vanilla Deus Ex.

No mods currently "just have a UI interface fix". However, this mod does have configurable options to support this. i.e. you do not have to play Shifter, biomod and so forth, and the bug fixes listed above are all for those (and other) mods.

Again, though, this does require the Direct3D 10 renderer.

It does not matter if you use HDTP or not. This is a compatible mod but is not mandatory (although it is recommended)

{EDIT} Sorry if I have anything wrong here Kocmo, but this is the basic gist of the mod. Also, sorry for replying before/instead of you but I just thought I could help, as I know that you are busy working on this brilliant mod.

Tracking aug is the best I have encountered so far, you should try incorporating that small 'spydrone' screen into future augs ( if you decide to make any more that is ) because it looks pro!!

You need to download all of the beta files (beta 1, beta 2, beta 3) Then extract them into your Deus Ex folder, there are still some bugs with the MJ12 trooper (mentioned above) that will crash the game,so start up the game and you should have a new HDTP menu. Enter this and then disable the MJ12 trooper model.

Also, Anna Navarre's model does not open her mouth when she speaks ( minor bug ) so it is your choice whether you disable her new model or not.

Yes, the steam version makes no difference. A lot of mods do require the 1.112 patch though, but I'm not sure if this one does.

Normally I do not even think about downloading total conversions as I believe that what was the point in buying the original game to begin with, if you are just going to change it?

However, after watching the videos I can tell that this mod is coming along well and does look amazingly fun, kudos! I will download when it is applicable.

I have also found a (possible) easter egg, although it is very small;

On the first visit to hells kitchen, enter the manhole next to the subway. After bypassing some lasers turn right to find two dead bodies, one NSF and one MJ12. Next to them is a datavault which says "to Lt. Maxwell Hammer"

Maxwell's Silver Hammer is a famous Beatles song, of course this is just a possible easter egg.

Just want to say sorry to the Revision team, I appear to have hijacked your news feed comments section. Big fan though but two things:

1. I like the mapping *tips fedora* but I dont like there being people out of bounds, such as people inside the houses in Hong Kong. Deus Ex was good because of total character interaction, I want to know who these people are, you never know, they may have important information.

2. I noticed you called chapter 12: A Savage Dream. I would have thought chapter 12: Majestic would have been more obvious.

Hey you guys!

Just thought I'd inform you of two areas I found in the game. Most people will have found them already as I am a bit slow.

1. When in the Wan Chai tea house, climb on the railing facing toward the butcher and the closed clothes shop, and jump across. Then crouch along until you reach a hole in the roof and you get skill points! (its not many though), the hole leads to the market next to the butcher.

2. On the PRCS Wall Cloud, go to the very front of the boat past the helipad and a huge wall of metal crates will block your way, but if you climb on the red rail on either side you can slip around to find a GEP gun and a crate with rockets in. You also get skill points! I think it is either 40 or 50 (I am very forgetful)
