I AM GAME RZEDESIGNER

Hi. My name is Lukáš Řezníček A.K.A. RZE and im the creator of indie games like sci-fi arcade Fatar Error, horror shooter Debteh and the newest project Bukkaku, besides of that im doing graphic web-design and other creative graphics. In this first video-blog or dev-blog id like to present both my first unsuccessful games and my biggest game project called Bukkaku. Problematics of this wide project i will try to present and clarify. But before ill get to that, id like to remind you my first game Fatal Error. Hmm... My first game ever... And it looked exactly like that. Its the only completely finished game yet. Its also the student project, where i also learned how propagation works. Take it as a relaxing game and dont take it seariously. I made it alone, as the the next horror game called Debteh.


The begining is the hardest part of every project. Idea, concept, style and story.I have an idea and I'm evolving it. Then i'm wonder how everyting merged in one working whole. At the end it has enormous power that cannot be stopped. Need to stay my feet on the ground even in media and stay on my own path, instead of be influenced by people writing things without second thought. Some people are not even willing to understand the idea, but all they need is to search or just ask. Please understand i will not react to "dumb" questions. Instead i'll try some to rephrase in funny way. It's fun to read some discussions about the game. Don't take literally everything i say. You might look forward to some crazy stuff.


The next game DEBTEH

The next game DEBTEH, which had a pretty good hype and concept, but it got only to phase of trimmed alpha version. There is several reasons: The older version of Game Maker, a lot of work on other game projects and not many time for this one. I was making it solo and i was learning to more possibilities of programming and graphics.Meaning above all everything around monsterproject of Bukkaku. In this time period i was already comming up with a concept. It is possible, that i will return to this project in the future again. I will welcome any feedback. Positive or negative. Also id like to thank all lets palayers for their excited video-reviews. :)

MY NEW PROJECT: BUKKAKU

BUKKAKU !

Indie - MMO - RPG - OnLine - browser game project called BUKKAKU is always moving and for now in basic development. Therefore we will be happy if you support us by giving us Like, sharing or subscribe our channels. Every moment we will bring some news about the project and other things. Also we welcome any feedback.


We are preparing elements from various places around the world for the game. We greatly emphasize popular style called Kawaii. That will be combined with horror elements and Mexican styles. Game project i am currently creating will be placed in asian continents "life-style problematics" with a little bit of Mexico.

Finally both good written article and closest with understanding my game concept intention.

Bukkaku: A Sharp-Looking Origami-Like Browser MMORPG

Bukkaku is a browser-based MMORPG project from RZE Studios, the brainchild of Czech developer Lukas Reznicek.



Despite its really, really unfortunate name, Bukkaku is actually a very sharp-looking (see what I did there?) game that artistically blends Mexican and Asian art styles to create an unusual hybrid full of triangles and other sharp polygons that look like they’re just begging to give you a papercut.


According to the developer, the game’s art style takes the kawaii style popular in Japan, and then blends it with elements of horror (seen above) and Mexican styles. Masks play an important role in the game, as according to the developer, they are responsible for creating your character, and each will come with its pros and cons. You don’t have to stare too deeply to realise that many of the masks in the game can be legitimately terrifying with their sharp angles and mean-looking eyes. The characters of Bukkaku look fragmented, broken and chipped off, which is entirely appropriate given the game’s title: Bukkaku, which means “to chip off” or “to break into pieces” in Japanese.



Information on how the game works exactly is very scant at the moment, although it appears to be primarily a fighting or brawling game. On his dev blog, the developer describes the Bukkaku as “Pokemon samurai with weapons and spells” and states that the game’s “animal-monsters” will have “unexpected abilities for quick killing”.



There’s something about Bukkaku that unnerves me, and that is exactly what the developer intends. Its bright, varied colours create an atmosphere of childlike fables and cheer, but its sharp angles and terrifying imagery works to contrast that.

Graphical style of the new project is in greater extend purely in vector lines and skewed hexa-lines. Therefore it will contain mainly various crystalline, triangular and sharp edges but rounded shapes as well. Designing in curves allows great many ideas for elaboration. We are preparing elements from various places around the world for the game. We greatly emphasize popular style called Kawaii. That will be combined with horror elements and Mexican styles.


Kind of Pokemon samurai with weapons and spells. I am trying to implement both the element of cuteness and the more terrifying side of your future game character you will be able to modify.

Graphical style of the new project is in greater extend purely in vector lines and skewed hexa-lines. Therefore it will contain mainly various crystalline, triangular and sharp edges but also rounded shapes.

Designing in curves allows great many ideas for elaboration. It's actually very close to folding origami, which folding principles is one of main concepts of complexity and beauty. The game will be based on polygon art (flat for now), unlike my first pixel art projects. Project will contain many "pale" colors, specific for flat design from which is based web design of the project connected with game map and avatars.
These are the elements i am trying to join to this colossal project and create rules for the global game impression.

DESIGN BY ASIATROPOLIS


Game project i am currently creating will be placed in asian continents "problematics" witha little bit of Mexico. By problematics i mean beautiful asian "weird" design and beautiful history. I am inspired by various pop cultural motives. One of the main pillars will be the avatar itself, with which you will move around the world. It should have a bit of samurai and mexican warrior elements.

I emphasize the Asian landscape and cute creatures originating from various anime products. Graphics should be breathing in Japanese style. The concept is based on cuteness but also on darkness with horror elements.

Next level?YES really :)I'm working on my greatest, huge concept project yet.For now i can tell we are creating sandbox online web MMO game.Right now we are developing entire basic technologies and principles - simply the entire game and web mechanism.Project will be "hopefully" original in it's style and creative in it's graphics and technics, joined with multi-player gaming.

Concept is constantly evolving and growing into bigger, crazier, but also more specific ideas.
In upcoming posts me and my colleagues from other technical departments will to bring you closer look.

Merry xmas and happy new year !

In my free time I attend outside gaming concepts and web graphics. I'm trying to come out
customers who have sometimes somewhat "exaggerated" vision.
Something just does not go together and not logically, graphically and feel comfortable.
Definetly each other ...


Also cut videos with music that you can play directly in projects Debteh and Fatal Error.
Recently, often creating animation keys only to web pages, but also directly to the games.
The other contributions can forward some detailed information about the project,
I'm working on with more people.

I wanted create my CI (corporate identity) that could be present in a decent graphics processing. It s a simpler concept a cube-pillared concept. I kind of came from televsion signals when stations don t broadcast. For this colorful and playful visual style is predominantly based graphic television signal. The television signal shows not broadcast program time. The concept should work playfully and fresh.Individual geometrical parts, are chaotically distributed over the entire area. As well as for programming games and software are gradually getting parts to each other and group together into a single entity - Logo.

The logo is composed to 8-color rectangles with letters RZE. These letters are composed from surname Reznicek. I m interested about pixel art, that is visible in a final visual. The CI includes banners, logo, web boards with flaps, billboard posters, stickers, apparel and other promotional items.

DEBTEH

The project horror indie games DEBTEH experienced quite a good social start.
A basic building stone is in simplicity, feeling of emptiness and preferment fear and chaos.

You re dead...In the Sect Debteh has influence to you theirs strength of evil.
Their religion deals with death and experiments with people and bestial demons. Can you find your way out, or will you end up trapped in darkness the dead forever?

Game maker is relatively good engine, but as each has its limitations. Otherwise a pleasant
even simple working environment, where you form this horror game.I would like to thank everyone who support and share this project.
I m working on it myself for over a year in his free time.

At this moment in time I do not, unfortunately, on this project much time,
both because of the workload, as well as for my new project.
I would like to DEBTEH tightened in the form of a prototype demos or something like that.Will she follow a few videos where they appear as a fully-fledged trailer.
The game is made in the Game Maker engine older version 8.5.
