So now I know where to put the files from the patches.

I'm not sure if I installed The Brotherhood incorrectly or something.
It runs fine and everything, but I downloaded the needed patches that were released, and there's no folder titled "The Brotherhood" that has its own graphics, maps, etc. folders.

The "Brotherhood_config" folder is in the main "redist" folder.

Will it work if I use a program like Notepad++ to open the .hps file?

I can't save the change I made to ptest_main_init.cfg; it keeps telling me that "Access is denied".

Any suggestions for dealing with the lag, or am I stuck with it?

I absolutely adore this Custom Story! However, I do have one complaint; the area you enter after you start up the huge generator is extremely laggy. Turning off all visual sanity effects and putting graphics and shadows down to low does nothing to fix the lag, and for me it's very off-putting.

Tanshaydar's White Night mod simply replaces the lantern with the flashlight, and oil with batteries. Perhaps you should speak to him about this.

I just wish I knew why the Level Editor in the HPL2 engine I downloaded;

1.) Refuses to respond when I try to Save or Quit; I end up having to close it using Task Manager.
2.) Has too big of a window to fit on my screen; I can't figure out how to shrink it so all of it fits in my screen.

Well that explains why the games are so damn good.

I have a slight problem with the two levers puzzle in the big hall; the lever right next to the bookshelf cannot be pulled down at all, only up.

It's odd that the custom stories file contains only a folder marked "Entities" and the "custom_story_settings.cfg" file.

It's supposed to contain only these things, correct? Or did I somehow lose parts of the file during its download?

Whenever I click on the .bat file that's supposed to launch the game, a small window flashes for a split second, then closes, and nothing else happens.
