The scenario you describe has definitely happened in the past, but these projects involved some sort of way to make money off of it. I heard about a fanmade project getting pulled off of Kickstarter, because of intellectual property. The difference with this mod is that there's no money involved.

I had the same problem (except I couldn't even play), I upgraded my unarchiver to the latest version, unzipped again without any problems.

It's a bit too simplistic for my tastes. Would have liked to have seen more variety in environments and a more goal oriented style of play.

Yes, there's even a third variation of Appeasement called ''Empty'' as well.

It might, I haven't decided yet, but I was thinking of a ''pay what you want'' option.

I get that people like to hear the music they know from previous SH installments, but please note that this is a different story. I've composed each track carefully to accompany this storyline and still feel very authentic to the SH universe. That's the way we mean this game to sound.

At the moment, the OST is not finished yet. We haven't decided yet how we will release the OST, but stay tuned!

I partially agree. Downpour was obviously different, but it deserves more praise than it has gotten. Not exactly Silent Hill, but a very good horror game nonetheless.
