The full game will cost about 25 usd.
However, we have just launched a presale campaign with discount prices and other cool stuff at indiegogo: Indiegogo.com
This demo now includes two sectors! (updated version uploaded on 5th September)
Hello masterful survivors, Build 326 is now available! :3
New stuff:
*REACTORS WON'T TAKE FUEL any more
(no need to constantly switch off/on modules)
*MUCH REDUCED organics consumption
*Nuke physics now better
*Added warnings for resource endings
*Slow motion is back, now ever more slow!
*Minor UI updates
*Various bugfixes everywhere
Thanx, it needs a fair bit of work. For time being, try just not triggering it :)
Yes, thank you, we are aware of the attack order abuse and will repair it after even more pressing tasks (such continued survival of our game studio) are taken care of :)
Yes, shields absorb only energy weapon damage. The first level has a variety of non-rat opponents (who have lasers), but perhaps the game you playedjust randomly happened to have more rat ships without lasers. Either way, the whole battle system is planned to be upgraded into a more intuitive one :)
Note about malware false warnings:
Since Shortest Trip is currently in open alpha and we don't have an installer yet, autosaving the game may trigger antiviruses & give false warnings thinking its malware.
We are actually planning to make the hull repairable by crew, but we'll see if there enought time and capitalism-tokens so we can finish that feature without going bankrupt :)
Thank you Karl4! just fixed it, new patch with a number of updates coming today
Already fixed, will be available in next version (coming this week!)
Thank you! We are aware of the exploit, and repairing it actually needs quite a lot of time. Perhaps we can do it only after the Complete Combat Overhaul, which is planned anyway. So for now, just enjoy the freedom to exploit it or not =)
thanks, we noticed it as well. There's now a sticky-note in the studio wall tasklist about making the help screens a lot less intrusive :)
Oh yes, very preliminary :)! We'll be adding content throughout the year and beyond. This really is just the first public open alpha. Thank you for most kind words!
