Tropical Heat Jet Ski Racing

Game review

Not only have the developers of this game erased my review, they seem to also have erased my rating of their game. So it seems that they are not satisfied to delete any comments that raise issues, but now even ratings and reviews are not safe from their attempts to control the discussion of their game, and the very restrictive DRM that will leave you with nothing to show for your money, should the company fold, or just decide they no longer want to run the servers.

The game itself is a fairly mediocre jetski racing game, with lots of issues both in control and rendering. On top of that, the "feel" of it is totally off - possibly due to the physics simulation, and the wonky controls do not help.

All in all, I say save your money. Even without the DRM issues, this game is a stinker, but combined with the frankly appalling attitudes and actions of the developers, you'd be a fool to buy their game. Don't be!

HyperSonic 4

Game review

This is not a game, this is - at best - a tech demo. And not a very convincing one, at that. The story is razor thin, the cut scenes cut rate, and the voice acting not only terrible, but also mostly inaudible and/or incomprehensible.

As for the main game, it's neither a simulation nor an arcade. I suppose they went for arcade, but forgot that the purpose of doing an arcade flyer is to make flying fun, rather than hard work.

The graphics is blurry, flickers and the models crude. I've tried my copy a couple times, and so far I have not found a single redeeming quality.

Little Racers STREET

Game review

Top-down/isometric racer with excellent "feeling". You could easily "one more race" your whole night away, if you aren't careful.

Gnomoria

Game review

My rating reflects more the potential, than the actual current state, of this game. In its current state, it is clearly unfinished, and tends to crash quite a bit.

I've started several worlds, only to abandon them when they crash. In some cases, crashing happen not too long after a save, and then I've been able to conclude that the crash keeps happening at about the same place, over and over.

The thing is - I keep trying. Even in it's current state, I have spent more time on this game, than I have on 90% of the games in my library.

So I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to the day when I can play the game without having to deal with crashes.

There is also a fair amount of functionality promised and/or hinted at which is still missing, but even now, the game is surprisingly functional.

Breaking The Rules

Game review

Having bought the game and tried it out for myself, I'm suddenly no longer surprised that they "had trouble trying to get our games onto Steam".

This game is, at best, a half finished tech demo. And not a very convincing one, at that. Save your money.
