Its a good idea, worth looking into at least I had thought of using a 100% evasion module as well, problem with that is I am unsure if it can have a duration that said I will look into it.

Unfortunately cloaking will likely not happen without Paradox changing the game. Since ships have no abilities its kinda hard to simulate it
One never knows what the future holds. Thank you for your support Legion!
Send a message to Max, we are always looking for more people to help out
It's a cross between designs from Star Trek Legacy, which are remade from the ground up with a whole new model and textures (and are mostly adapted from FASA designs), ships from canon sources like episodes of Enterprise or whole new redesigns we've made ourselves.
We do not have a forum per-se but we do use the paradox community forum however you must own stellaris to access it Forum.paradoxplaza.com
There will be a more in depth article on this soon but as an example not all ships can have pulse phasers but you will be able to specialize them in other ways.
weapon types will be locked to the respective factions, no Polarons or Disruptors on federation ships.
No, this is replacing it because the one from Enterprise is too advanced for the Era
They are temporary they will be removed
Yes there were some creative liberties taken with the model. We made it our own
Heinlein 1.3 update for Stellaris changed much of the game including introducing weapon arcs.
Patch notes here Forum.paradoxplaza.com
Stellaris is capable of a higher fidelity than Sins of a Solar Empire
The Coto would be the Poseidon class and yes it will be in game. As for the Borg... Wait and see.
Thing is, we did not want to get rid of the stock races. We want them to exist a long side our mod to populate the galaxy and make it more diverse. And also a total conversion would mean breaking almost all events from the stock game we want to keep those as well.
You could in theory play as a stock faction with all the other trek factions around you yes. We will be balancing to vanilla
Cardassians are separate faction from the Dominion. We wont go into details yet, but lets just say you will be happy.
It is definitely something we can look into
Well, we do not want to spoil too much but lets just say there will be a variety of maps :)
We have a few ideas but honestly the mechanic does not exist in Stellaris
Send me a PM on here and we can talk :)
You will see a mix of ships
I forget why but these were removed for some reason, but yes they will be coming back.
I have added this to our list of things to fix. Thanks :)
Oh don't worry we are working on maps that will do exactly what you are asking for. Cannot say more at the moment, but I think you will be pleased, and I only play on huge maps too :)
Thank you for the kind words, do not worry it will only get better
