A dedicated solo map was never created based on the NX01. There was a mod but the mod team only managed to release the teaser of it.

At this moment, the Elite Force community does not have an active mapper around to possibly create such a map.

I don't know yet, was aiming for the end of the year before Christmas but there is still a lot of little things to do left and those little take a huge amount of work plus I'm trying to do this one between my other projects, so somewhere next year should be do-able . . .

"Alive" isn't what I would call it, "necrophilia" is the word I would choose. Once again, Valve has something to sell and they couple it with a Half-Life instalment in order to boost sales!

Seriously, if there wasn't a Half-Life title announced, how high would the sales of the "Valve Index" truly been ?? I say not so high as it is nowadays . . .

If anyone needs any help, then it will be most definitely you! Let's not play "holier then thou" and forget the bullying you did last year!

I'm not seeking attention, I am seeking resolution! I am seeking a common ground, an environment where all arguments are being considered equal and are judged on their individual merit and not based on WHO is saying it but that is too much to ask from The Last Outpost and their members! I wanted to talk but each and every time I tried to talk, TLO and its members only want to kick me even further when I am already down on the ground!

You may not like "analogies" but TLO's actions do speak more and for themself. I wanted to talk and I am still willing to talk and willing to produce content, so I hereby challenge you and TLO to talk! We will and we shall respond to ALL arguments and under NO circumstances shall we isolate ONE instance and use it by blowing it up out of proportions by qualifying any person as "lesser" because one of us don't agree with a given sentiment.

Klaw was right when he said that my behaviour was less than exemplary but your bullying in December 2017 is also less than exemplary. We all made mistakes here, no-one is "clean" in this whole matter. What matters now, is that we find common ground to resolve this conflict. We don't have to like each other, as long as we can keep each other in their respective values. Is TLO up to this or is TLO only interested in kicking me even further while I'm already down on the ground. Your call . . .

Your first sentence pretty much shut this down for me. It's one of my lines unfortunately, I don't deal well with people telling me what I was thinking or meant by what I wrote or said. I was sincere when I said I wanted to talk with you about getting this all sorted out, I'm sorry that this will not be possible.

No, you never HAVE and HAD the intention !! If you had, then you would’ve responded to ALL arguments given instead of isolating ONE thing and blowing it up out of proportions, so that you and TLO woud look “good” and me “bad”. Besides that, after the PROVABLE rants of two other TLO members regarding on how “bad” my person is to somebody else, why would your response be any different ??

I am basically writing this response to inform you that I will not be taking an appeal to the cabinet of The Last Outpost, nor am I willing to continue our discussion further as you have demonstrated to me that you are not willing to engage in a civil discussion with anyone related to TLO or RPG-X.

I strongly recommend you reconsider this stance because let’s run down the list, shall we ??

- How ‘civil’ is it, that a TLO-member decided to publicly BULLY me on at least TWO occasions ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, that when I invited this TLO-member to have a civil discussion, this TLO-member publicly STATED that it was her INTEND to bully me and nothing else ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, that this TLO-member decided to file a FALSE COMPLAINT when I compared her BEHAVIOUR with similarities from the past ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, when TWO TLO-members are RANTING about my person towards others and at the same time REFUSING to talk to me ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, when a TLO-member decided to file a FALSE COMPLAINT against me when I confronted him with some undeniable truths/violations of TLO’s OWN Code of Conduct ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, when TLO stated that I had to write a 500-word essay (Fallout 76 here) in order to have my ban lifted, which would’ve NEVER happened and was only for the AMUSEMENT of TLO in seeing me crawl, squirm and beg like some kind of low-life ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, that TLO decided to disciplinary actions against my person for events that did NOT occur on the TLO-platform ITSELF ??
- How ‘civil’ is it, that TLO CONTINUED to use my work to PROMOTE and ADVERTISE their services and products while at the same time, regarding me as ‘sub-human’ by refusing to respond to the arguments I have repeatedly layed out (or is abusing your privileges in order to insult non-English people considered funny with TLO) ??

All this is provable and at this point, I do advise you continue talking to me and lifting my ban, since it has been given for the very wrong reasons. Altough I never gotten them at my door, certain of these actions are identical to what happens when people are being “swatted”.

If not, well what will a Dutch judge in a Dutch court of law think of ALL this . . .

I only offered the email option as there's more I can say in private

********, like Grizz you just wanted to have the opportunity to rant about how what kind of terrible person I am and the sorts!

This might be an unpopular response, but in away he's right, we don't have to pay him for it, they didn't have to make it etc. But I still hope the comment made was a joke.
I've made some things in the past that have not been used at all, if I could say I'd made something like RPG-X I can assure you I would be the using the world 'privilege', but along side the words 'is mine'.

You're missing the point here. The point that I have been addressing, is the fact that anyone should be grateful that we are getting something with no questions asked. The moment anyone ASKS a question about it, Tim and the rest of the RPG-X community will not hesitate to qualify and classify that person as "entitled" and/or "toxic" if you persists. Both terms have been greatly abused here !!

You do not, thank you for providing me with those. It will be brought to the attention of the TLO President today!

Well ... it's been a while and so far I have heared nothing but crickets. This means that The Last Outpost is completely in agreement of the bullying actions against my person, amongst other arguments that I have made in the past. Good to know that.

I feel I have fulfilled your dare?

No, you haven't. You speak in name of TLO but not for a single moment you have taken responsebility of actions taken by TLO and its members against me. The only thing that can be seen here, are lame excuses, "because of this", "because of that", "I was not around" and the likes.

TLO *SHOULD* lift my ban since it was given for the very wrong reasons. If not, then I can legally prove that The Last Outpost does regard me as "untermensch", deprived of all courtesies that make us human. I am not the one who has instigated the 'cordon sanitaire' but if The Last Outpost wants to keep this form of Apartheid alive, it will say more about TLO then it will about me! I wanted to talk, the RPG-X community only wants to see me burn and sorts.

Lekker doen alsof je neus bloed, maar als de kans er is om mij na te trappen of anderzijds mij te treiteren, dan zijn jullie haantje de voorste. En jullie noemen jezelf "volwassen", yeah ... right. Geloof je het zelf, oh wacht . . .

5) This point troubles me greatly, as a member of TLO's staff I would like to think we have a 0 tolerance policy regarding bullying ...

This is a lie! The Last Outpost has a 100% tolerance policy regarding bullying, even to the extent that non-TLO members get banned when they try to defend themselves against it while the bullies themselves are allowed to do everything. In essence, staffmembers of TLO have a carte-blanche in order to do as they please and no-one is willing to hear you out.

Certain examples of bullying by a TLO staffmember:
- Forums.ubergames.net

- A now deleted comment made by Grizz:

The last five years have been hard to predict as to what was more likely. Star Wars, The X Files and Twin Peaks coming back? A new Star Trek TV series? A female Thirteenth Doctor? Donald Trump elected President of the United States? Or Apprentice still ranting on about the same old bollocks about the development of a mod for a game that was released 17 years ago.

Think I'll fire up ab_release02 in RPG-X to celebrate this new milestone.

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you

When I addressed this bullying notion with the following comment ...

Like Grand Nagus already said: you could've chosen to remain silent. Instead, you take the opportunity again to diss and ditch me and another member here who made certain comments about this action of yours. If I have been so wrong, then why the responses ?? What are you trying to hide behind this 'trolling' ??

I like to believe that we can still resolve this, as civilised and mature individuals. Are you willing to do that and participate in an argumented dialogue with respect for the arguments on all sides or is your only interest to diss and ditch me at each and every attempt to do so ??

... this Grizz responded with:

Yes, that is my only interest. You've known that since you pulled your maps from RPG-X.

You should be grateful for the attention - nobody else is going to entertain you or try to "resolve" anything. There's zero need to do so. But I'm happy to give both of you something to do on these cold winter nights.

Yes, this is your "Head of Media & Marketing". Need I to say more?

- Moddb.com
Instead of maturely agreeing with the notion that abusing one's administrative powers in order to make a 'joke' and making illegally content available that has been removed (amongst others), TLO member Veritas decided to file a complaint against me for "pushing my opinion".

This leads me to believe that The Last Outpost is a very questionable group of people who are clearly willing to turn a blind eye when and especially when it suits them in order to make certain people silent.

I dare you to respond and deal with this in a mature fashion and that also includes lifting my ban, since it was given for the wrong reasons . . .

Currently, there is no map that truly represents the USS Voyager included. There are some versions that are made for Elite Force in its 18 years but none of them have been included within this repack.

As for your DS9 map question, could you elaborate on which map you have seen these DS9 corridors ??

RealApprentice - - 96 comments @ Comparisations shots (... or the version they don't want)

Hey Piet,

The basic shape looks like something I've done before (Battlestar Bellerophon). I would definitely make the corridor wider and the angles of the walls smaller, so that you have more room to move around.

RealApprentice - - 96 comments @ Half-Life is dead ... long live Half-Life !!

You realize that Half-Life VR is basically a thing we know exists, right? Like, it's pretty much been all but confirmed by Valve itself.

Does it? Where can I read about it? I would certainly like to know more about it.

Also, I'm wondering: how does it look like. Are we getting the same visuals as was shipped with the original game from 1998 (where they nowadays even ask 10 dollars for it) or are we getting the visuals from rip-off Half-Life: Source from 2004.

Besides that, would it be feasible for Valve to re-release Half-Life 1, even if it is for VR? They cannot continue or finish a storyline but they can re-release and old title? Would that not be a slap in the face for the Crowbar Collective with their Black Mesa title and for the mod-teams behind "Guard Duty" and "Operation: Black Mesa"?

No, I don't think it will happen. With a remake of an older title, Valve has more to lose then when they finally decide to ship Half-Life 3 . . .

RealApprentice - - 96 comments @ Half-Life is dead ... long live Half-Life !!

I'm honestly sick of the 'company that makes money' statement. They are still making games, they have always been making games, they have never, at any point, stopped making games.

Then please point out which games they have released under the sole Valve banner, other then The Orange Box and Artifact. Like I already pointed out, all "Valve" titles released between those two, are developed (read: "collaborations" between Valve and) by other studios. Valve had probably a more over-all position and the studios did all the work. Somehow, I really doubt that a Valve level designer is going to work off a whiteboard concept by a Turtle Rock concept designer. It's probably the other way around IF Valve is active in the design process of that particular Turtle Rock game and that is something that I don't see happen either.

To act like they have abandoned us all because they don't push out a game every year is foolish and stupid. They are perfectionists, most of their games take forever to develop or are dropped because they don't think the game is good enough for what the community deserves.

They don't need to release a game every year and it wouldn't be a slap in the face now, if Episode 3 was released to close the story of Half-Life 2's City 17 storyline. Then there would be closure and if Half-Life 3 would take 20 years to make, then it would've been fine by me and others. Now there is no closure but vague hints for the past decade on what Valve was doing with the next Half-Life title. Something that even Valve doesn't do anymore.

What if the creators of Game of Thrones would be saying "we're working on season 8" but for 10 years, nothing happens? No-one would accept that and after a while, people will think that the series would've been abandoned. The result would be that the creators will never be hired by a TV station to create a new series and if Valve didn't have the revenue they are getting today, then Valve would've been a defunct studio right now or a subsidiary of EA or name another big publisher and working on the big titles as a sort Raven Software.

I don't say that Valve MUST release a Half-Life title every year so that it can be a cash grab such as a Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed (which certainly didn't help the series) but they could've respected the REAL day one fanbase from 1998 to bring closure to the City 17 storyline by releasing Episode 3. Even the time between Half-Life and Half-Life 2 is almost half of the time since the Orange Box was released and today.

Acting like Valve is a selfish, greedy company that doesn't care for its community is downright incorrect. Valve lives and breathes for its community.

In the early days, I would've agreed with you. Valve did need the community, so they decided to support it thus paved the way for the commercialised Half-Life mods (Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike). Half-Life wouldn't be this big in the modding community if Valve decided to drop mod support. For instance, take a look at single/multiplayer games who doesn't have the modding tools available. Heck, even the original Doom wouldn't be this big if there were no modding tools available!

However, one cannot deny that with the revenue generated by Steam and the titles that carry microtransactions, Valve has manoeuvred themselves in a very comfortable position. That is why Ubisoft, EA and others decided to release their own platforms with their exclusives so that they too have a steady revenue.

Valve may have lived and breathed for its community but the way they have abandoned the Half-Life series, is regrettably telling a whole different story and again: it's a shame that they have decided to walk this path. It could've been so much more and so much better . . .

No, I'm not affiliated with this mod. I used to be a freelance developer developing custom content on a regular basis, until a developer decided that his ego wasn't big enough and needed to be bigger.

At this point, I was expecting an official response from the development team regarding your inquiry about new content, unfortunately the silence is saying more about the status of this release/branch then words do.

This is also a reason why I'm no longer being spoken to by the RPG-X developers. I strongly believe in communicating with people in various forms, which varies from participating in RPG-X communities to blog posts containing screenshots of the state of my work thus far, therefore keeping the interest in the various projects/RPG-X peaked in general. The RPG-X developers do not see this, as has been stated into this forum post made by an RPG-X developer, stating that "it's a privilege you're getting anything at all".

I was hoping that this would be a thing of the past but unfortunately the silence only confirms the RPG-X developer's statement and I have to agree with you that this mod for Elite Force is dead.

I would like to point out that there is a roleplaying mod available for Jedi Academy and there are things being done for Elite Force II, which might peak your interest . . .

Custom development (as in new "maps") for the RPG-X mod has ceased a long time ago. The few 'recent' maps included within the Ultimate Edition are from 2017 and are in-house developed.

Most of the maps date from around the hay-days of the mod, somewhere between 2005 to 2013 and certain maps have been included which were released at the turn of the century, therefore even pre-dating RPG-X in general.

The lack of new content (both from in-house and third party developers) should be considered as an alarming issue. Especially when the developers are trying to break new ground and attract new players to their product. It does not go automaticly but certain viewpoints are seemingly different on that topic . . .

No, it's not for a specific mod. From the beginning, Asteroid Base was always a map for deathmatch with occasionally support for other modes like Capture the Flag.

Altough the map can be played with roleplaying in mind, to date no special version was ever developed for it. The most games who are having roleplaying sessions don't have a dedicated roleplaying mod such as Elite Force's RPG-X mod (which should be considered as dead) . . .
