Lol. Yeah, the scope still needs some work. This particular one is a bit broken. It basically just needs to be lined up correctly for the scope effect to match up as it should.

We're currently working in Unity, but yes, you're correct. The final models will have tessellation, normal maps, and an overall higher poly count.
Yep, you're right! Most of what we'll be showing over the next several weeks (even as we get into gameplay) will include placeholder art.
This particular screenshot shows the realistic reticle placement and "scope" effect, that is, the dark rim that appears as you move the scope off-center. An earlier version of the effect can be see in motion in a video we posted.

What I can tell you, for now, is that the story will be central to the game. We've been spending a lot of time fleshing it out.

It's a big focus for us right now, and a monumental task lol. The idea is to iterate the AI over several versions and make it better and better.

Funny thing: The dude at Blackreef Pirates claims we picked our name to "Steal visits" from them. If wanted to steal visits from somewhere, logic dictates that it would be from a good game.
I think he's still upset that I wouldn't cede our domain to him when he demanded it.
We are working in a different engine now, so we have to port a lot of functionality over.
