that would probably kill a lot of comparisons on the code, since i am guessing most of it is written for unsigned shorts vars. When comparisons break a lot of strange things happen.

One last question, does this include the audio/voice/sounds ? I remember you having some complications with the sound guys.

Given that files are used in the same terms, I guess converting them to other formats(to use in other engines) and sharing them with the people who use that engine would not be a problem either,right?
