The best thing to do is to register on the official forums and ask for help in the Tech Support forum.

I'm not sure what you guys are saying. You should not have problems if cl_gammaramp is set to 0 and you use OpenGL rendering mode.

yeah, the mod is only compatible with half-life 1. You'll have to wait for Natural Selection 2 to come out, but that will be a full retail game based on the source engine ( not a mod ). You can buy half-life 1 on steam for about ten bucks.

Keegah,

I'm guessing you are on a 64bit system? if so, then you need to change a setting to make NS display properly on your system.

Open NS then click Options->Advanced and make sure "Enable gamma ramp" is not selected.

Alternatively, set the cvar "cl_gammaramp 0" in your userconfig.cfg.

Stop by the forum linked below if you still have issues.

~Lemon~ ,

Have you got a valid half-life 1 install on your system? You will need this to install NS. The best thing to do is to drop by the official tech support forum and ask for help.

Thanks to everyone who voted for NS. We're proud to still be considered so highly.

Well, why pay for any game?

NS2 will not be a mod. UWE have licensed the source engine to develop a full NS sequel. This won't be just NS ported to source. It is going to sell on steam for somewhere in the $20 ballpark. You won't need to have bought any source game to play NS2, or have any SDK base installed. Also, now that there is a full engine license, the game can finally grow to its full potential and not be limited to what's available in the modding SDK.
