I might when the game is finished
Hi. I was just using the standard shader for the demo. Unity 4 had a lot of limitations (no image effects) so the vhs effects were just still images overlaid in front of the camera.
No, theres no save system in the demo. It should be in the full version though.
Yeah, still working on it. I don't update a lot because I don't want to reveal things that may change later.
Yes, it does take a long time. I'm not working on Power Drill Massacre at the moment, because I don't have the resources to finish it properly. I am working on another slasher game I haven't announced yet.
If you liked Babysitter Bloodbath or Power Drill Massacre, you'll probably love this new one.
Yes. If you go to the options menu you can select what type of controller you want to use.
The download link is right above the comments (Power Drill Massacre DEMO Alpha 0.04 (WINDOWS)). You can also download from puppetcombo.com
Yeah, you're right. The track must have been removed. That sucks. But thanks about the game

The door glitch is odd. This is the first I've heard of it. Maybe try restarting? The guy on the stairs doesn't effect the door.
Yes, it's definitely still planned, but it's something I'm going to work on near the end of development so I haven't had much to show yet. Basically going to design and code the game and then worry about graphics later.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the demo
Definitely the Burning. Love that movie. Thank you
No, I tried to get something ready to release, but there wasn't enough time
It's only in VHS mode. Try DVD mode instead
Yeah, I'm working on the full version.
Yeah, definitely. It's running pretty well on my system (which isn't state of the art). Once I optimize it, it should be able to run on most PCs made in the past 4-5 years.
Thanks. I was working on a high res version of the demo, but I canceled that because the underlying code was such a mess, it needed to be entirely rewritten. I'm planning some closed testing in the future, but the next major release will be the full game.
Sorry about all the "This comment is currently awaiting admin approval". I have no control over what gets approved. If you want a free and open conversation, please try Facebook.com or Puppetcombo.com
Yes. I post most of the updates on facebook now

I'm not sure. The biggest problem would be providing support, which I'm not sure I can do for multiple platforms. I don't think I'll be doing a mac version either (at least initially) since I don't own a mac to test it on. But if the Windows release goes well, then yes, I'd like to bring the game to more platforms
I used Makeclothes and blender. There are some tutorials on getting everything set up right. It was probably three months ago when I did the clothes, so I don't remember the exact process. The Killer's coveralls were a pain in the ***. Tight clothing is easier to get right than baggy. I still haven't figured out how to make hair so I cheated a bit with that.
I animated the face in unity - legacy animations controlled with mechanism. Again, don't remember exactly what I did (gonna have to figure it out again when I get back to animating stuff). I also use the 'Realistic Eye Movements' asset which is awesome. You should definitely pick that up
That's pretty strange. Are you sure you have the right version: windows or mac?
The graphical update version does have 3 modes:
Blu-ray - This is the mode I recorded most of the demo videos with
VHS - This one is obvious
1995 - This mode is meant to make it look like a game that uses pre-rendered backgrounds (PS1 Final Fantasys, Parasite Eve, RE 1-3). The texture resolutions are lowered and the color pallet is reduced, but the game still uses the same models. I've considered making low poly character models just for this mode.
I'm not totally sure what direction I'm going to go with the graphics yet.
Yes, you can outrun him. If you hear footsteps running towards you, it means that he is about to attack. He'll chase you for a while and then give up. You also have to avoid the dead ends. You're pretty much dead if you get cornered.
Cool! Just posted your playthrough on our facebook: Facebook.com
