That flare, was coded by the leadcoder, it is in some of the padmaps, thus in-game, YES :D. All the effects you see in any screenshot, are real.

Yes, the Q3 engine is incredibly strong, It handles the HUGE maps with no problem at all. As a expert WoP player (been playing this *game* since it was on Q3 back in 2004). There are no other lilliputs maps ever to come as close as these padmaps. The scale is true to life, i guarantee you as soon as you load your first map you will say "WTF, how am i supposed to navigate or get up there? O.O" YOU ARE JUST 3 inches TALL ONLY! ;> The maps contain excellent ambience also like in the garden, you can hear nature and modern things *I would say specifics but i don't think i am allowed to tell* but the ambience is amazing.

PVT Johnson, you must be itching for the day of release but you truly won't be disapointed and yes you will be playing far over 3am XD. The action of this game is extremely addictive, if you look at the weapons on the mod website and the effects, all these colours flying everywhere coupled with colourful powerups makes for impressive eye candy that WILL keep you hooked.

My opinion from MOD to Standalone is a revolutionary one, theres just so much more things in the standalone, more or less EVERYTHING has been tweaked or overhauled completly. Everything gells together and feels right which is a big key for a game's success. I guess there will be some people questioning whether it is balanced, my answer is yes, WoP has been worked on for SOO long that things are now tweaked right. It works, it will rule, you will see, soon. GG

I am not sure what you said PVT Johnson, but WoP will be compatible with Windows, Linux and mac. With seperate installers for each, all released at the same time. Also at some time soon i may get some screenshots of the maps at angles that really will show you the huge scale of the maps. You are only as big as a grasshopper in there. ;>

To the above 2 posters, this is a standalone. It started out as a Q3 mod but since ID released the Q3 Source code a standalone is now possible and it is in development. The standalone is currently in BETA-TESTING, just to clear any confusion, the Q3 mod version came out first in 2004. Now since the source code is here, the STAND-alone will be here in the upcoming march/april. All the recent updates refer to the stand alone.

Nothing is restricted, and doing so is utterly amazing. I.E: Being flushed down the toilet in the Cybbath map, jumping off the padlibrary chandaleer and falling 60 feet or so (the thing you saw in the trailer with padpower on it).

Oh and, you can actually fly the rocket in padshop to mars, that RULES!
