Nice work so far.
I just have one piece of advice for future work. When you model the buildings add a small bevel (or chamfer, whatever you want to call it) to the edges. It'll kill the razor sharp look which the edges have and help 'ground' the models in the scene.

I'm an Engineering student at Dundee University in the UK but I've been doing 3D modelling for many years now. My weapon of choice is Softimage|XSI (now Autodesk Softimage) but I've also used Maya PLE, GMax and Blender as well when necessary.
