it makes me pretty stoked that over 50% of people are alright with being themselves, instead of being someone who already made a famous game. Maybe some people out of that 55% will create larger games than both minecraft and angry birds combined!?

Looking at your guy's 3d models for your scenes i think this game could come along pretty well! It looks like you're running with a 2.5d beat'em up?

I'm currently working on a game that's 2.5d in Unity as well! You guys should be able to get this rollin' quite easy once you get everything placed into the Unity Engine!

i really enjoy what you've got going so far. i'll admit that the pixelated art caught my eye before i even read the description. and though i was confused was i was strictly just reading i enjoyed it.
then after getting to the cave and realizing it was a text based adventure game, it all makes perfect sense!

having the wizard like narrator breaking the 4th wall was a nice chuckle i hope to see throughout more updates on this game! And giving him some personality was a really nice touch, i enjoyed having both a real name and nickname.

overall, this is looking pretty interesting! officially TRACKED! Looking forward to the next update!

I enjoyed the overall feel that the Alpha is showing.
I think the two main things that really broke flow for me while testing this out was not really understanding what I was needing to do.

Once I figured out about switching between, attack, defense, and flowering? I enjoyed walking through and defeating the evil brown enemies! Also not being able to press an attack button made it feel a little silly just walking up to enemies and hear a steal on steal noise without the animation. I'm sure you have full intentions of creating animations and such in later builds!

Regardless, it's an Alpha but I really enjoy the theme you've got going here and I'm always a sucker 8bit games. Looking forward to seeing this further along!

plasticwrap - - 7 comments @ Why do you pirate games?

I feel demos could go a really long way, especially in the indie gaming community. Allowing people to play a demo gives a much higher percentage of someone purchasing the game, especially if it's an indie game!

I feel people tend to pirate games more when they're triple A titles, or like how l0rdx3nu stated. He pirated SPORE for his reasons, and because it was from EA. I think people have more consideration for Indie developers, and the people making them versus the larger companies.
