mmmm if it was a single turbo mount replacing the proton torp launcher it would make sense. This thing has too many high power weapons to even fire them all at once let alone in a decent ROF.

Tie fighters weren't horrible really they just had no shields/hyperdrives Swarm/maneuver tactics was the idea though since they were so damn agile.

Different types of focusing crystals for turbolasers the blue is specialized ionizied good against droid/droid ships. Green is kyber crystals do far more damage.
