Just checked and the keys are in the system, but I don't think they've been assigned to copies yet. I'll ask support if they're working on it.

Did you buy the game directly, or get the copy some other way?

The game engine (which we cannot modify) seems to have problems with some non-English system locales - Korean, Greek and Thai in particular. If you recognize yourself on the list, we recommend trying to play the game with AppLocale, or setting your system locale to English. Really sorry about the trouble!

Hi, to answer a few of the questions, everyone's cards go to the same pile, together with 8 hyper cards. So you can't determine all the cards people will draw, but you should choose cards that suit your character best (for instance, -defense and +evasion cards for Suguri, as characters with opposite attributes won't benefit much from them). There are lots of cards where it doesn't really matter whether it's you or an enemy who uses them (like Here and There and Holy Night) so you should evaluate whether you want their effect in the game or not. In simplest terms: if you want to fight your way to the victory, fill your deck with battle cards; if you're going to try to collect stars, add defensive, movement and +star cards.
As for the goals, every player has their own they can always stop at (it's the one matching your portrait's color), but they can also land at the opponents' homes with an exact roll.
You should always beware bosses, their stats are way high, but you can still lose any battle against a well buffed opponent (if you don't have defensive cards), or one who rolls a 6 against your 1.
Many hyper cards give a huge bonus in battle, but they're rare and often costly to use. It's one valid strategy to stack up cards that cause damage to players, and only hit them when they're low on HP. If you get to attack a player with 1 HP, you're likely to win no matter their stats.

Characters like Kai with a bonus to attack and defense are easiest to start with. If you stick to defense you won't get KO'd too often. It's also a good idea to not initiate a fight against players if they're not already on low HP or you have a good attack bonus.
Keep in mind that winner steals 50% of the loser's stars on KO.

Hi, the most important thing to grasp for survival is the difference between defense and evade. On defense, you lose (attack - defense) hp, but you always lose at least 1hp. On evade you need to roll higher than enemy attack roll - if successful, you take no damage, otherwise you take full damage. Suguri has +2 evade but her defense is bad so you need good judgment to not get knocked out all the time. The home page recommends her for experienced players.

Based on that one screenshot I'd say that graphics with an alpha layer (transparent backgrounds) aren't rendered correctly. Might be some graphic card setting causing it, but I've never seen anything like that.

That looks really odd since most of the graphics are loading fine. I'd suggest a re-download/re-install to make sure some file isn't corrupted.
You can also try to disable the full-color options in start-up popup and see if that makes a difference.

Hi, Indie Royale comes with a Desura key for all the games.
When you go to redeem your bundle, there's a single key you need to redeem on Desura that will add all the games to your account.

Hi, sorry to hear you have trouble. Have you tried in both windowed mode and fullscreen? You can switch from System->Fullscreen.
Haven't heard about that problem before, brings to mind how windows sometimes behave when you get a popup like Skype atop a game. So please make sure you aren't running some other program in the background that could be causing it.

For those wondering, the game is released in 4h from now. The Desura client preloads it, but isn't very informative about it not being released yet, giving some confusing messages instead. You will also see a standalone download appear here upon release.

I think you might be missing the Windows default font MS Gothic, I'd recommend checking that first, you should get it from the Windows install disc if that's the case.

Hi, thanks for playing. WotHT is pretty old school in that it doesn't hold you by the hand with extensive tutorials, but the gameplay is quite intuitive and fast to get into. You lose the mission if you lose all your Command Tanks (in mission 1 that means Heshiko), or Masamune. You can check the victory/defeat conditions from the Object button in combat. We also have a very extensive "Let's Play" guide which can be found from the link in the launcher, or Fruitbatfactory.com
