Hi Liam, yes it will be supported on Linux when it leaves Early Access.
At the moment it's unfortunately too much work as one person to test multiple platforms each day as I release updates, but once it stabilizes I'll be releasing it on more platforms.
Thanks! I think there's something special about long-form or story based co-operative games, because you really have time to learn how to work together. (That's the idea behind 39 Days to Mars, anyway).
Thanks! I still don't have a release date, but it is getting closer!
Thanks! I can't wait to release it ;).
Thanks! I'm glad you like the art style.
That's a good idea, it's just a matter of making a new animation to play in this case. I don't imagine it would change the game at all, but it would look better. Thanks for the suggestion :).
Thanks for the nice comments! I'm glad you like the art style, it's something I've been concentrating on to try and make it fit well with the gameplay.
I'm glad you like the animation! I've sent you a PM about undergoing some playtesting ;).
I've yet to play Don't Starve, but the sense of pressure you mention is something I'm also hoping to capture in 39 Days to Mars. If you don't keep pushing forward with the puzzles & minigames, then problems compound and soon the ship is falling apart around you.
Thanks for the suggestions!
I'm trying to avoid making a menu-heavy game, so I think some kind of context-based skip option is definitely the way to go. Unfortunately it's not as easy as a general "skip button", because the intro is interactive and you need to press buttons anyway to get through it.
At the moment I'm leaning towards an in-game item that lets you skip the tutorial when you use it. (And which only appears when you've already played it once).
I'm glad you enjoy reading the updates, and that they're pitched at about the right level :).
I've never heard of the GameStick, but I'll certainly read up about it. At the moment I don't think I'll be adding any new platforms to the release list, but if it looks viable then I might consider it down the track.
Thanks! Yes, there will be a non-steam version available, and I'll be porting the game to the Wii U and the Ouya too.
Thanks! I'm still tweaking things a little because it's interfering with the gameplay, but overall I'm really happy with how it's come together.
