Yeah you should just be proud of the work you have done to get this far. Like you say ideas are not unique, and it seems to me one of the fallacies of the human experience to presume that he who "thought" of the idea "owns" it anyway. Did Darwin "invent" evolution? No, it was always there and in fact was discovered by Alfred Russel Wallace at the same time or before (he just lost out on the fame). Like you say this has happened countless times in history. Likewise did Hello games "invent" the idea of game wher eyou fly about space and land on planets with an inventory. No - the idea was always apossibilty, and as you say several people have acted on it. Personally I would say Elite got there before in 1984 (although the tech meant landing on planets was not possible). You can also add yourself to the list!
Thing is, anyone can "have an amazing idea" about a game, and it could turn out to be great or it could be terrible, but it wholly depends on how well the idea itself is implemented. Me, I often worry another dev will make a game along the same lines as mine but release it before me too, but at the end of the day, I guess as you say you need to remember that is not the important thing. The important thing is that you did it, and you did it as best you could - which is a lot more than many can say. So good luck there!
