Thanks for the kinda words. I agree with your sentiments but sadly my reliance on Unity does right now rule out Linux but I have my fingers crossed for the folks at Unity releasing Linux support at some point. I'd really like to support the platform but it's out of my hands right now. Without middleware like Unity I'd not be able to make games.
I will be sorting out Desura keys for existing pre-orders next week.
While your comment is fair about developing multiple input support from the start, the reality for me is that I'm one guy working on my own building the game iteratively. So I tend to do an absolute ton of stuff that is far from best practice. I think if a proper coder looked at how I put Kairo together they'd have a heart attack.
